Group dinner for about 25 of us. We ordered from a pre-determined limited menu. I selected the vegetable soup, sea bass and a chocolate mousse desert. Delicious bread was served while we waited and waited for appetizers. We spend almost 4 hours from the time we arrived till finished. During the first 1/2 hour wind or other beverages were served.... The restaurant is okay at best. It hasn't been very good in years. Went because it was convenient to a friends office and it will be the last time. The food is not very good and with a fairly simple French menu the food should be very good for what the charge. If your a traveler looking for an exceptional... More

We recently spent 3 days visiting NYC & stayed in Hotel 32/32. This gem of a place, Artisanal, was next door to our hotel. We came here 2 nights in a row for cocktails & dessert after long days in the city. We sat in the bar area. Loved the atmosphere- dark, intimate, quiet, classy. The desserts were out of... More

Great place to share a fondue with friends, loud and busy but good service and food overall. Great for groups

Yum! We had a great meal here on a Thursday evening. The service was great, the food was awesome. Nice atmosphere too. The decor is what you would expect from a French bistro. The four of us had Tuna Tartare, Cavatelli, Arugula Salad, Lamb Shank, Bouillabaisse and Black Truffle Risotto. The entire backside of the menu consisted of the cheese... More

This space is a loud bustling Parisian Brasserie, which embodies the kitschy side of French restaurants with mismatched chairs and braces wearing waiters, while not going to far that you feel like you are in a theme park. I loved it the second I walked in. In addition to a full cheese shop right in the restaurant, they also have... More

The burger was $25 and two arrived with cold fries and an almost imperceptible piece of cheese, for and extra $3.75. It might have been a good $10 burger at Shake Shack but at $25 you would expect, and be entitled to a GREAT burger. It was not as good as the Palm or Five Napkins, (or lots of other... More

If you're a cheese lover this place is not to be missed. The service here is wonderful too. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it as a special treat!

We went there for a business dinner and i chose artisanal as we have been going there for years and always liked it. This time it was just the opposite. Service was extremely slow and between drinks and the main course nearly 1 h passed at a half empty restaurant. We had to return all 4 main courses and side... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
