I stopped by for breakfast two days ago to see how this place was doing. The meal was fine, the service was prompt, and the place was fairly clean given that it is certainly showing its age and as a result is hard to clean. Business should greatly expand since the Second Avenue Subway extension stop is right outside the... More

Fairly prompt service, average diner coffee -- do they all served the same blend and grind? -- fairly clean. With the new subway opening up next door, they may invest a bit and spruce the place up.

Helpful and friendly staff with a great menu of American Diner classics to choose from. Over the 3 days we attended between the members of our party we had the Lumberjack (Full breakfast), Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast & Eggs Benedict, all served with endless coffee. All the food was excellent and wold highly recommend this diner.

Great breakfast for very reasonable NY prices. They have breakfast specials with lots of variety. We both got 2 eggs over easy, with ham or sausage, bread, and delish home fries (we asked for them extra crispy and they were)! Coffee & orange juice were included!! Friendly service.

New York City is blessed with many fine diners, and this small diner ranks among the very best. Cleanliness is excellent including the men's room. Fast, efficient, friendly service. Noisy because you really are sitting right next to the kitchen

Best non-Breakfast dish is the turkey with stuffing. Burgers are very weak - Avoid. Breakfast is standard fare. Belgian waffles are house specialty.

I really love this place… I lived down the street on 79th… this place is the go-to for any meal. Staff are really great and friendly, food comes out quick and even though it couldn't be called "fine dining" it is never greasy or oily… Not exactly healthy either but always good. Many a late night trip was made here... More

We met up with some friends and diner food is always a good choice when there's a mixture of people wanting something different. They have good burgers & shakes but this time I ventured out to try the chop steak and it was huge! You could split this or its leftovers for you the next day! I had it with... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
