Perfection! Well, I guess a one word review does not truly explain the joy you experience when you walk in the door of this quaint bakery. There is truly attention to detail in everything they design. If you are anywhere in NYC, you MUST make the trip to this location on Houston. As some other reviewers mentioned, the most absolutely... Just a great place for a almond croissant, coffee, maybe soup. Visiting over the holiday and loved the chocolate, books, and goodies from the bakery. Looks like a lot of locals eat here so I want trip advisor travelers to learn about this place.

A chance find in passing on a dreadfully wet day in New York. A wonderful welcome from the young man serving. He was very friendly and happy, his enthusiasm was infectious! The sandwiches, flans and pastries were wonderful. A great place to spend an hour.

Coffee and an Almond Croissant on my way to the UWS. Great find, nothing else like it outside of France!

This specific location is really quaint. There are tables for seating and a little section that sells cookbooks and other items. The pastries are absolutely divine! I had some type of raspberry tart that literally melted in my mouth and I couldn't have enough of it. I would go back in a heartbeat if I wasn't trying to watch how... More

We were walking around the Village, trying to get some good, sweet stuff. Francois Payard Bakery came up. The shop is nice and kind of simple inside, with all sorts of treats, some of the very creative and skilled pastry in the area. We had the macaron donut and the macaron ice cream sandwich. We liked everything. The other baked goods... More

Probably my favorite at of all New York pastries. Payard is King for desserts. There bread and croissants are also very good.

This is THE place to stop in this area for a sweet break - the pastries here are among the best in New York. Payard has other locations in NYC as well.

While in The Village, we popped in for a treat at Francosi Payard Bakery. The deserts were exquisite? Gorgeous to look at, luscious to eat and they packaged up well for the long trip home. The bakery has breakfast and sandwiches at a reasonable (for NYC) prices. We plan to return.

Thank Mary M
