Excellent food. Prices reflect New York COL $40 for a salmon entree. It was cooked to perfection. The bread that came with the dinner was also excellent. Service was a bit slow. We had to wave down a server any time we wanted anything. Restaurant has a buzz to it, and it is very very noisy. Do not plan on... More

Perfectly located in mid-town Manhattan, Casa Lever is a solid choice for an after work drinks or a business dinner. This place screams Mad Men and is indeed dominated by advertising and financial types. It certainly has a cool vibe although somewhat manufactured. The food is good and relatively standard fare; however, this place is about the scene and the... More

Obviously, Casa Lever is highly rated, located in the iconic Lever House off Park Avenue, with a retro 60's interior, modern Warhol's, and a slew of comfortable banquettes. On weekends the restaurant is less full, and arriving at 6 PM, we were able to get a spacious corner booth. The food was from beginning to end wonderful, with the drinks... More

I was there with friends from overseas, staying at the Waldorf=Astoria. I had told them in advance that we were going to dine at an excellent, renowned restaurant in the immediate vicinity next to their hotel, fir their convenience. As soon as we arrived to the restaurant, I realize that I was wrong 'already'. We received the coldest greeting ever.... More

I really like this restaurant which is conveniently located in the financial Mid Town business district on 53rd street between Park and Madison. Very friendly and efficient staff, a fabulous buzzy atmosphere (not obviously too financials oriented), great surroundings with with walls crammed with Warhol portraits of famous people (a good game is guessing who they all are), and good... This is a terrific place to break up the shopping or have a business meeting, and that's what everyone here was doing. It is fixed price, $51 for two courses, but you have to add on for some things. The cottaletta is an extra $16, but it is worth it, very authentic, thin, moist on the inside and crisp on... More

This restaurant was recommended by our concierge at the Barclay when we were looking for dinner at 10PM on Friday night. Being in NYC it's easy to lose track of time and we ended up missing the dinner hours and finding ourselves hungry and not knowing where to go. Our concierge said they had great mid-range priced Italian food close... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
