I've been to Schmacckary's a few times and they never disappoint! The cookies are fresh baked and they have en impressive selection from the traditional to the inventive. The staff always seems to be in a great mood and they move the line along quickly which is important as sometimes it's out the door. But I've never needed to wait more than a few minutes.

Popular with tourists and locals alike, this bakery offers a unique assortment of cookies and other bakery items. Seasonal cookies are enticing, but the traditional cookies are just as impeccably done. Though there is usually a line, it moves quickly, and cookies are worth the wait. There are few seats and there’s almost no where to stand, but the close quarters don’t detract from the overall experience of the cookies.

My friends loved the cookies at Schmackary’s and went back several times during our four day stay in NY. I got a gluten free strawberries and cream cookie the first day, but it kind of bothered my stomach, so I’m not sure how safe the gluten free cookies are for celiacs (seems like a lot of potential for cross contamination, which the bakery does indicate on a posted notice). If you don’t have dietary restrictions, then Schmackary’s is the place to go according to my friends!

This place has been on my radar for a while so I made a point to try it and I'm glad I did. When I arrived I perused the menu a bit and ultimately decided on the cookies n cream, funfetti and cookie dough. I quickly dug in taking a piece of each and they were magical. All of them so chewy and delicious. My favorite was the cookie dough and the cookies n cream a very close second. They are a decent size and priced reasonably. I can't wait to come back and try some more!

2x times now Ive been shorted a cookie with my dozen cookies plus order and fresh drinks( hot chocolate was stone cold) The servers were pleasant and I tipped them too, as I believe in that. TIPS T.o I.nsure P.roper S.ervice. However I'm not ever going to order cookies to be mailed because I never know if what I buy will get sent. I did make s point if having thr server count the cookies to as I mentioned the previous issue if an order lacking the amount of cookies I bought.I watched and did not personally reach in the box and scrutinize all content but I should have I guess on a 60.00 order. I can't remember if they wore plastic gloves or used wax paper to retrieve the cookies either. Maybe its an oversight, maybe its a way of saving money? But lack of cookies twice?

These schmakery cookies are absolutely to die for! Besides eating some while we were there, we took a box of six as a "thank you" for the person picking us up at the airport back home. I'll be ordering these cookies for special occasions and will definitely visit them again when we're in NYC.

I was walking by and found this little gem of a cookie bakery. I went and the aroma is delightful, delicious and a little decadent. I was immediately welcomed by a gentleman working the cookie counter. I decided I wanted just a cookie and water, so I asked how is the “s’more” cookie. The gentleman replied “it’s my favorite”, I said sold and that’s what I got. I thoroughly enjoyed the cookie - every bite was a taste of deliciousness. “It was my lucky day” I found Schmackary’s.

The most delicious cookies you will ever eat!! Holy moly. This place is a must-visit after a meal in Hell's Kitchen. There are the daily flavors as well as traditional fare such a chocolate chip or peanut butter. Be patient because there is always a line.

$3.25 gets you a big (7”?) cookie, I had the “dirty peppermint” which was a chocolate cookie, infused with mint, with white frosting dusted with peppermint candies. Cookie was soft, but not warm, and was delicious. I should have saved half of it for later, it certainly was big enough to do so or to share it with a friend. Vax proof was requested, which was nice.

No trip to NYC for me is complete without a stop in here. I've been to all the other "it" cookie bakeries around the city and there are none I like nearly as much. I love to come on the first day of my trip to have "room cookies" for late nights after returning to the room. The cookies are phenomenal, but I really enjoy their various flavors of rice cereal bars - they are huge and I can usually take bites from it for a couple of days.

We came in for a few treats to keep in the hotel room so we can have an after-show bite. We picked a few cookies (my personal fave is the funfetti) and a crispy cereal treat (the flavor of the day had lucky charms in it). Do not sleep on the cereal treats - they are so so good for something so simple.

This place is amazing and there's a reason why people line up for these cookies. They are the best tasting cookies. Classic Chocolate Chip is the best; next, the Dirty Leprechauns are a big hit with the kids. They were out of Red Velvet cookies but the cookies and cream was a great substitute. We'll have to try the Red Velvet next time we're in the city.

You are literally an idiot if you like cookies and don't go here. For real, this is the PLACE for delicious cookies. They have the tried-and-true chocolate chip - and some creative cookies like cookie dough (which was AMAZING). It's close to Times Square and they will run out by the end of the night. We went there 3 (!!) times in our 2 nights in NYC. Go here. Now.

We stop by every trip and have yet to meet one of their cookies that was not worth the calories. Menu changes monthly to keep offerings aligned with the season. Right now Pick of the Patch is amazingly tasty.

Hell's Kitchen
Just a few strides from the pulsing beat of Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen has a much more local pulse than its buzzing neighbour. The low-key vibe is part of the appeal, but there’s also a new energy arriving in the neighbourhood in the form of modern residential buildings with new retail and food shops. Ninth Avenue is lined with restaurants of all types, from tiny Thai hangouts and Italian trattorias to French bistros and Southern cuisine. Just show up hungry and walk up and down the street, you are bound to find something that looks good. For a more classic taste of the city, grab a bite to eat along Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) before a Broadway show. The Hudson River provides a break from the city blocks with riverside views, piers for boat tours, and parks perfect for a stroll.
