I had a late breakfast here and liked how quiet and dim it was after being out on the busy street. The food was plentiful and served quite quickly. Because it wasn't busy, I didn't feel I had to eat in a hurry and be out of there.

Having an appetizer and a beer. Long day of walking. Table by window so can watch people walk by. Good service

I have been coming here since I was a child and when I was little I remember excellent service but as I get older and a mom myself this is the second time we were seated served our food and ignored. No one has checked on us or asked me why I am not eating. Do not order the quesadilla... More

Stopped in after appointment with family member across the street. I chose the greek salad with anchovie which was a big portion, fresh and 2 small cups of dressing. My family member ordered the appetizer platter which seemed to be frozen food and not so great. The table pinot was delicious and we had a lot of laughs with the... More

I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. It is definitely not typical diner food. Everything is very fresh and the portions are huge. Today for the first time, my fussy husband was with me, and he commented on how fresh the fried flounder sandwich was--not a pre-portioned, frozen piece of fish that you might expect. My salad... Run down diner, not exciting and not very good. Atmosphere is in desperate need of an overhaul. Food was bland and dry and lifeless. I ordered a simple omelette that came with burnt toast. Had to send coffee back - ugh. A diner that doesnt even have good coffee is a miss. Not impressed and would not go back. There... More

Came here on the recommendation of staff when we had an early appointment at Lenox Hill Hospital. Can't do much with a couple of eggs and toast, but the service was quick enough.

I have only ate here once, but I had to give due credit to the people who work here. I had the Cobb salad which was quite good and plentiful. Later I realized that I had left my prescription sunglasses behind. I later phoned and asked them to keep them for the following day; the waitress who served me, Olga,... More

After the museum we walked down here and found it to be friendly and the food was good. A couple of glasses of wine with my rueben and the wife has some soup. Nice hostess and waitress and they were quick. This place is clean and worth the stop.

I had some time, and a voracious appetite to kill. As luck would have it, I found myself at the Lenox Hill Grill, where the staff is friendly and the food is high quality, tasty, and affordable. Look at what I got for $15.25, tax included! Challah french toast, with fresh fruit salad, coffee and a mimosa! I recommend it!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
