Nice brunch, interesting choice of dishes on the menu. Pizza was great, thin crust and tasty. Mushroom ciabatta was a good choice but the chicken pie a little dry. Ordered a bottle of prosecco which turned out to be Cava so some small misrepresentation there. Service was froendly and efficient.

My wife and I visited prior to seeing a show. We arrived a bit before our 5 pm reservation and needed to wait until the private party was over. We started with a bottle of Malbec and proceeded to order an appetizer. The Stracciatella is a soft mozz style cheese drizzled with olive oil and spice. There's more cheese than... More

Excellent value, lovely staff and great food. Only observation is that in bringing all the food at the same time, some gets a little cold before you can eat it. Other than that, would highly recommend

We've eaten here four times, each time with a different chef. Every meal had great pizzas, the usual and a few unusual. We've had their octopus as a main course twice and it was excellent with interesting salads first. Everyone raved about their pastas and my daughter had the black bass main course which was fabulous. We were six and... More

We were part of a group of 10. The atmosphere was nice and warm for a cool January night. We seemed to be waiting for service the whole time, whether for water, wine or food. When we got our food, it was good, but not special. We had various pizzas and salads among the group. I wouldn't put it on... More

Saturday brunch seems to be less crowded than Sundays. We had a group of 9 and spent 2.5 hours at the table. Food and service was great. Definitely try the sausage & egg pizza and french toast.

My husband and I were in NYC for a weekend of shows, shopping and dining. A colleague told me about Sotto 13 so I booked online. We arrived early for an early reservation (had a Broadway show at 8). It was easy to find using Google Maps. It is located in the village on a cute street, close to the... More

Went for my friend's rehearsal dinner. The space was nice and the servers were great. They brought out pizzas, which were just average, which was surprising for a specialty pizza restaurant. The rest of the food was also just okay. The cocktails were not great either.

2nd of 3 nights in NYC, staying at the Walker. Decided to dine close to the hotel before heading out for a show. Arrived for our 5:45 reservation and advised our server, Olga, we had to get to a show for 8PM. Everything was timed to perfection. We had the prix fixe for two which may not sound like a... More

Went here with a group of 6 for Happy Hour on a Monday. Great deals on cocktails, wine and beer as well as food. We tried all of the apps on the bar menu and each one was excellent. The meatballs were really flavorful with a fantastic sauce. Pizza was fantastic and the arancini were very tasty. Service was attentive... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
