First time here and I can't say enough good things about it. Amazing food and service. The bartender was very attentive and gave excellent service throughout the night. GREAT craft beer selection. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

This is one of my favorite bars in NYC. They've always got a great selection of beers and a good warm atmosphere. Every time I have come in there has been at least one new beer added to the list while I was in the bar (they announce this by ringing a bell). I haven't had their food, but it... More

This little restaurant serves many different beers, pub food, it is casual, and typical of what one might find in London. You order your food and drink at the bar, and it comes out fast and tasty. We had short rib sliders, tacos, and a bunch of snack type food it was really quite good. The prices are very modest.... More

Stopped in here after dinner for a drink. Mid week it wasn't that crowded, but our son says it is on the weekends. We had great beer and felt like it was a great place to hang out in the neighborhood. We will be back!

Remains one of the top locations for craft beer in an expanding UES market. They also feature cask ales which most others do not. Staff is friendly as well, and are excellent at recommending the right brew for you. Recommended!

One of many bars in the area, of course, but it stands out by its easygoing atmosphere, fine barpeople (though sometimes forgetting bitters where they belong...), and nice patrons. In other words - yes, the right kind of place for any night of the week - also because of their large selection of small breweries beer. Not my poison, but... More

Excellent selection of beers that rotate making each visit a different experience. Have also eaten several of the bar foods available which are tasty and reasonably priced. Can get crowded and a few extra stools placed around the tables would help.

I had been to the Pony Bar in Hell's Kitchen last year, and was curious about the new one on the Upper East Side. As of a couple of weeks ago, I knew the Bar was closed due to a suspicious fire, but heard it had re opened. I went with my wife and twelve year old son. The beer... More

Having lost David Copperfield as a go-to venue in the Upper East Side, I was so glad to see the beloved Pony Bar branch out in this neighborhood. So .... venturing out in a heavy rain during MLK Weekend (2015), I made my way here; the trip was worth the drenching. Much like it's Hell's Kitchen sibling Pony Bar UES... More

Awesome rotation of draft beers, including a cask ale usually. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Food is good too. What is not to like? The volume of the often preppie crowd.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
