Outstanding pub atmosphere that was enjoyable and relaxing, staff was courteous, service was friendly and unrushed, there was calm live music & song, and a plethora of bar drinks from which to choose. (The Irish Coffees were tasty and comforting.) The “small plates” were great...- we devoured sliders, fried chicken, burgers, Scottish eggs. Unfortunately, the fish & chips main dish was only fair, very bland but very properly cooked; the fries were quite basic. Bathrooms very clean, though a bit dark. The biggest and only real downside is that prices seem high, and for some dishes the value and price don’t match up. Great location around the corner from the world famous Fraunces Tavern and within a five minute walk to Wall Street, Trinity Church, Battery Park, Bowling Green, and the ferries at Pier 11 and the Governors Island & Staten Island ferries. Highly recommend to try this pub / restaurant at least once. This visit was our first, and we plan on returning.More

Historic bar with warm, welcoming staff, unbeatable cocktails and fantastic gins. The ambience is quaint, cosy, busy and the banter beats like a heart. So great. Can't wait to go back. Nearly got myself invited to a Charleston wedding last time. Cheers.

Found The Dead Rabbit online when looking up somewhere to grab food nearby after doing the Liberty visit. It was a really lively, vibrant place bustling with atmosphere. We hadn’t booked so we were lucky to get a table. The food was absolutely delicious. Some...of the best we had on our trip to NYC. Staff were lovely and friendly and the cost was reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.More

Not worth the hype. Overpromised and did not deliver. Drinks are good, as they should be for the price. Food is awful, service is poor and disingenuous. Booked for a special occasion when visiting from Ireland. Had previously seen a lot of PR about it....The waitress we had did not seem to understand the idea of starter followed by a main as we got both together. Parts of meal such as stuffing and gravy were awful. I was honest in my feedback about the food and the MD did contact me with an apology, which was nice. I was offered some free merchandise but it never materialised (this appears to be the fault of the pr company, who just never bothered to reply on any follow-up). Hopefully the issues I raised will be looked into to improve someone else's experience. Good Luck with your future ventures.More

Great festive cocktails. Very nice vibe. I was expecting more Christmas decorations as their jingle jangle thing was highly rated. There was a lot of nice decorations but it wasn’t OTT. The booking system was excellent

Outstanding Christmas bar with absolutely wonderful cocktails. Our experience was elevated 10x thanks to our waitress Michelle who was so much fun, so kind to us, and had the best recommendations personalized to each of our tastes. 10/10 would come again (as long as we're...still in Michelle's section)More

Really great pub in downtown NYC. We went around Christmas and the decorations and lights were really impressive. The food was great and the Guinness is exceptional.

Over rated and over priced. Also added a mandatory 25% tip to the bill. Service was ok but not deserving of 25%. Be warned $20 per cocktail too.

What more can I say? Great atmosphere and cocktails, beautifully crafted. Very busy but we got a seat at the bar in only a few minutes whilst we were watching our drinks being made. We didn’t eat there but we saw several people having small...plates as well as some having full meals - looked tasty. Quite expensive but then you pay for what you get and for the location.More

This bar styles itself on a traditional Irish pub but is anything but. As with other reviewers, we fell foul of the seat police i.e. you can't sit there, or there, or there. Imagine this in a real Irish pub! Plus what's with giving you...a glass of water to have with your Guinness? Is this just service for the sake of tips?More
