We visited this restaurant whilst visiting NYC recently. We were a walk in during the mid week although I am sure given the quality of this place it may well be worth booking over weekends and holidays. The place is a delight, the restaurant is cosy and intimate in fact I noted with delight that the background noise level was... More

We went for lunch with a party of 10 including 5 kids. The service was incredible. We had a gluten allergy and our server was knowledgeable and helpful with foods available. The food was delicious and our experience was excellent!

I wanted to rate this place higher, but overall. our meal wasn't that great, with the exception of dessert. The ricotta cheesecake was the best we've ever had, absolutely delicious. We also had an amaretto panna cotta, which was very good. To start I had a butternut squash soup. I love butternut squash, but it was not a very good... More

To be honest, I was very disappointed with this place. I had high hope before coming here as I read many positive reviews online. I was not impressed. Service was a bit on the slow side. We had a booking but stood by the entrance for a good 10mons before someone even bothered to speak with and seat us. Food... More

Haven't been here in a while. When I come back they make you feel like family! Always delicious. Always consistent. One of my favorite places.

The restaurant is somewhat cramped but the food and atmosphere make it worth while. It is easy to get to by public transportation but driving there for dinner is hard because it is in the travel path for the Holland Tunnel

Really nice atmosphere for a Sunday Dinner.....nice ambiance, soft music, gentle personnel. Tried the "malfatti" ...they are not the best....too much white on the sauce...may be with a tomate sauce will be different... but the Octopus.....out of this world!!! Perfectly cooked, nice presentation.....a perfect appetizer. I will come again just to have it. My husband did have the pasta with... More

Just finished a delightful dinner with discriminating friends. Homemade pasta rules as does the variety of ingredients enhancing options. I had the shaved shallots and shrimps! We shared the fennel, walnut and pear salad ... so good. But the tomato garlic aspic-type complement to the french bread was superb. The place is busy but not overwhelming. The servers are latino... Nice place with OK food. However, I expected more after the great reviews on TripAdvisor. We had one entry dish, four main courses and one dessert together with a few beers and two glasses of wine. All together we paid 250 USD. The quality of the food didn't meet the price. I found it a bit expensive and they included... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
