My second visit. Had a good meal but but a great meal, which was a shame as it was my husband's first visit and I wanted him to love it as much as I did the first time. It wasn't bad, just lacked the special edge I remembered. Did the wine paring which was lovely with the food. Service was... More

I've eaten at the old Bouley, then while it was Bouley Bakery and at the "new" location. The name changes, the menu changes, the address changes, but the food has always been and remains spectacular. The Tasting Menu is the way to go, it's just one delight after another. Don't like sea urchin? You will at Bouley. You just can't... More

The decor was too authentic, the ambiance too romantic, the food too tasty (and plentiful) and the staff was too nice.

My wife and I went for her birthday and we had the tasting menu, which was remarkable. We loved the dining experience there so much we went back again, and our second lunch was just as good as the first. This was as fine a meal as we've had, yet the price was much more reasonable than other top shelf... More

Still a favorite spot 25 years later. The lunch menu is an excellent value. The room is quiet, romantic, and ever so comfortable. The perfect spot when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York for two... or three hours.

The restaurant has a nice seating area on arrival, while awaiting your table. Restaurant nicely decorated and warming. For a top restaurant, it was not stuffy. Food options lean more toward seafood but several options available. We had the rabbit salad and mushrooms, chicken and sea bass, and chocolate cake and passion fruit dessert. All excellent and well seasoned. The... More

Booked the lunch menu which I admit in itself is good value for money and the setting itself is quite "old school" that teeters between classy & staid. The food was nice, but didn't have any wow moments. To be honest it was the bread cart that stood out with its quite frankly interesting & varied selection which itself sums... More

I come here every time I visit New York. In my opinion it is the best fine dining restaurant in the city. Unfortunately it is closing for a while soon and is planning to reopen in about a year in a smaller space. If you're going to be in New York before it closes I would highly recommend you go.

It's been a while since we've visited Bouley. It has only improved with age. First, we would like to thank the staff for welcoming us even though we arrived late. Second the evening was glorious. From the very well thought out amuse to the wonderful bread cart. Our main courses were amazing. My longtime loves chocolate dessert was amazing and... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
