I came here frequently when it was Peep. When I came back, it was Spice, but they had my favorite black squid ink noodles, and lychee mojito. It was just as good as I remembered and the prices were still very comparable.

it was recently renamed spice and the menu changed a lil to my disappointment. Although service is better the cooking seems to not be as good because they are rushing. I actually ordered salmon and it was raw in the middle and i had to send it back. I'd recommend it for lunch only since there are discounted prices. Also,... More

Overtime we come to NYC we try to hit PEEP for lunch. Their steam dumplings were amazing. This time when we went the restaurant had changed to SPICE. The lady said it was the same cook. The restaurant has begun to show age - a lot of wear and tear. When we got the dumplings they tasted good but they... More

Just had drinks. The place is fascinating although I think it may be called Spice now. It was named peep because the bathroom is a double mirror looking out. Pretty cool actually. Also, mirrors on te ceiling. Fun little joint, friendly bartender.

Amongst all Thai restaurants this particular one doesn't stand out in any way. The food is good quality, but average as far s the New York City Thai food is concerned. However, it is very reasonably priced. The place seems to be clean and with friendly service. It really deserves 3, or 3 1/2 stars but it gets extra credit... More

After taking a chocolate tour in Chelsea and Soho, we were looking for a place to eat. Did an online search for restaurants and ended up at Peep. When you walk in, you can see the entire restaurant including a long bar of which you can sit at for just drinks if you wish. The menu has an eclectic fusion... More

If you're shopping in Soho, this spot on Prince Street is a great lunch option. It offers good Thai fare at great bargain prices. The $10 pre fixe includes beverage and two courses. The portions were generous and good. I wouldn't travel out of my way to go to Peep, but it's certainly a place I'd go back to hungry... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
