Crispo was recommended by a work colleague, and I pass this restaurant often but have never really noticed it. It's with good reason I've never visited before. I took a friend to dinner and went to the restroom before sitting down. When I returned my...More

Joe, Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I'm sorry about your poor experience. As you can read from our past reviews, this is not something that's of the norm. If you wouldn't mind giving us a call, I would love to discuss...More

Went to dinner with a friend after looking for the best Brussel Sprouts in NYC. Crispo was highly rated by Foursquare in that department, so we decided to head down there. The Super Tuscan was superb, which doesn't always happen in restaurants in the city....More

After just returning from Italy a few weeks ago, I have to say I was very impressed by the quality of our plates. I would definitely recommend ordering from the charcuterie selection, from their specials of the day, and from their assorted cocktails. We went...More

This restaurant was a delight. The garden was beautiful. I cannot remember a more enjoyable evening. The duck was delicious. Not greasy-very flavorful. All in our party loved their meal. Not a single criticism. Just a neighborhood gem!!

Love this spot for consistently good Italian food. We sat in the garden area which was so nice although a little cramped. The carbonara was amazing! Portion was large and price was fair. Will definitely be back!

Returned to Crispo's on a Friday night in June. The acoustics seemed worse than before. Very hard to carry on a conversation. Food was not as good as I remembered either. Had the angel hair in vodka sauce. Peas were hard, sauce just OK. The...More

You know it's a good restaurant when Marc Murphy of Chopped is eating there. First thing, you have to order the coal fired garlic parmesan bread. It doesn't look pretty but it is so good. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli with pumpkin seeds and...More

I try to eat at crispo at least once every few months. Delicious food and decent prices for NYC. Noise level is high and the tables are fairly close together but the food makes up for it. Wait staff is hit or miss.

I dined here with my family during a recent trip to The Big Apple. We are Italian - so we appreciated the nice round table for 6 in the corner. Most of the tables are too close to one another ( a common experience in...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002. Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine. We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004. Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs. Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.
