I have been dancing here on Mondays for 6 years. The free salsa lesson was originally to catch a workout and socialize, but I got into coming here every Monday having a blast. I have checked other salsa clubs and food but this is the most comfortable and the music and people are great! I will always enjoy it here!... More

This place is beautiful, spacious, and had great drinks and music. They offered drink specials as well. Restroom attendant made sure everything was clean and was very friendly. A variety of music was played. I enjoyed everything!

We started our night at Slate. Around 11, we decided to head to Webster hall, and we saw this place right next door called Taj-II and thought of checking it out ! We stood in the queue to entrance when the security guard yelled from the door, looking at my feet "No Flats Allowed". For a second, I couldn't believed... More

This place is jammin almost everyday of the week. Late night Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's are always pumping great music and great vibes. The coolest, fastest and most beautiful mixologists in town. Highly recommended!

Showed up for our dinner reservation around 8. There was an event going on so the placed us upstairs which did not have sitting tables but more of a coffee table. That is where we ate our dinner. Each of us sitting with a napkin over our dresses to make sure we didn't make a mess. The bartender that was... More

A small but very friendly place with a good choice of food on the menu. The Taj beer was excellent, I enjoyed it more than Kingfisher or Cobra. Food was very good and was served in a very friendly timely manor. Had a great chat with the owner, who was telling us the place has actually been serving for 35... More

I went with some friends for a salsa party on a Monday night. It was free before 8pm and I think $10 after. The atmosphere was festive with a nice, 30 and over crowd. there were drink specials and free yummy finger foods. Later in the night an awesome, live Latin band played while everyone danced.

This is a good place for a happy hour with friends on a Monday night. My first impression was that it was spacious with high ceilings and a kinda Indian themed interior décor. We got there on a Monday evening and it was “Latin Monday” night. They have free salsa classes and it was fun dancing salsa. We ordered some... More

There are so many choices to have here and it will be hard to choice. What you get is what you imagine you would get at someone's home in India. It is comfort food. The dishes were well delicious, the service attentive. There was a sitar player as an added treat. This is a not a fancy place. Decor is... More

Description
Consulting chef Jonathan Lindenauer’s (Jean Georges) grand plan is perfectly executed by exec chef Edwin Riverra. The kitchen has created a changing menu of upscale French and New American dishes with Indian touches. A cool fusion of modern banquets and wood accents provide a setting for sipping Rose Martini’s or a refreshing Budina. The perfect location to mix the cosmopolitan cool of New York with the meditative calm of the Far East.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
