My husband and I were biking/walking through NYC and stopped here for a drink. It looked a little sketchy from the outside but was fine once we got in. We sat at the bar and ordered two beer, bartender was friendly.

First time I have been there was 25 years ago. Since then I always enjoy dinner there at least once while visiting NYC. Food and service are great. Real bar food. Don't miss it.

It gets super busy in there, so if you go early enough, I believe you will have access. The restrooms would be difficult, as there are 3 stairs to get down to them. Hope that helps!
