Arguably one of the best places in NYC to eat Veal Parmigiana but sadly Il Vagabondo has closed with no date of reopening anytime soon. Go to Carmine's or Patsy's.

This place has been around forever - at least 35 years with it novel bocce court which certainly attracts many diners and tourists. It's a fun experience but the restaurant itself is tired and ordinary and the menu hasn't changed in decades. Everything is standard...More

The feel and food of this place demonstrate the pride its owners have in it. We all had (coincidentally) veal dishes which were all excellent, with my veal vagabondo being declared the winner. Slow-ish but not ridiculous service. Decent wine selection. And, if you are...More

NO. My wife and I walked all the way there from midtown (nice walk) only to find the place closed. Looked in the windows and the place had been stripped of furnishings. That was December 2016.
