If you go here, go for the Pizza, as with most of New York the Pizza is good and it is at a reasonable coast considering this is a restaurant. However other dishes on the menu, especially the pasta and risotto dishes are way to expensive for the quantity and quality we received.

You can get a good fast chicken salad or other "real" food while your kids load up on thin crust, delicious hot from the wood-burning oven. And if you're here on vacation (I live here) you can be satisfied and out the door and ready to explore some more fairly quickly

We located this restaurant on the upper east side. We went in for the pizza that looked great but tried the traditional Italian menu instead. First impressions were that the restaurant was located on a cramped 2nd floor with a nice view, assuming you can be lucky enough to get the window, overlooking Madison Avenue. I ordered the spicy spaghetti... More

We saw this place while walking down Madison Avenue, the pizza was great, very tasty. Very reasonable and great food, and of course very handy if you happen to be on Madison Avenue.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Their pizza is perfect. Thin crust and not too thick with cheese.

Had a meal there 2 nights ago and I can say it was one of the best meals we have had in a month long trip around America. The only disappointment was the staff who placed us down the back and showed little effort is service maybe due to the compulsory 20% tip. 5 stars for the food and 2... More

If I could give no stars, I would. We found this place through a Google search of places to eat near our location. Having lived in New York for forty years, I knew it was going to be expensive due to it's Madison Avenue location. What I did not foresee was the shoddy treatment right at the door. My adult... It's very common in Europe to spend your lunch without any hurry at all, and Serafina is a great place to spend your time with family or friends and enjoy your time there ! The food was great, the coffee acceptable ! I was not very happy with the service, but that was my personal experience!

I stopped in with a friend at closing of The MET. We were a bit indecisive to start as we were not sure whether others would join us or whether we'd have an appetizer and leave. The waiter was very kind, letting us take our time. The menu had so many of my Italian favorites, it was difficult to choose.... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
