Last two of party of 6 arrived at 7:35 on Saturday night for 7:30 reservation. Were informed that they were backed up and we joined the four others in the adjacent bar and ordered drinks. We were not seated until 8:30. Our waiter Walter immediately noted and apologized for the delay and suggested ordering the hot antipasto (and/or cold) house... More

We had a completely enjoyable time and meal. The service was friendly and accommodating. No issues to changing sauces or adjusting for food restrictions - none. The special today was a baked shrimp and crabmeat with linguini - excellent. The shrimp were huge, by the way (just huge) and it came with a garlic white wine sauce but one person... More

The host/owner (I assume) couldn't have been more polite. The waiter has a little Italian act that acts times was a bit much. Overall the customer service was very very good. The food left a little to be desired. The red sauce was very bland and my partners dish tasted terrific but wasn't too hot. The prices are some of... More

If tradition, quality service, and first-rate homemade pasta is your desire, then look no more. This place is simply the best in NYC. I've been here several times after stumbling on it last year. Wish I had found it earlier in my career; it would have made many of my previous visits to NYC even more satisfying to the palate... More

Warmly welcomed, despite walking in before it officially open!! The guy serving us was utterly charming, and a little bit bonkers...we loved him! It was like sitting in a scene from a movie, kinda Godfathery!!! The waiter even gave me extra support for my back, by rolling up table cloths for me. Decor authentic, and the only Italian restaurant in... More

We loved Forlini's !!! We had no personal recommendation, we were only looking for an Italian establishment walkable from the Classic Theater Company. Reviews were good on TA. It is a old style restaurant in the Chinatown section of the Big Apple. What a fantastic meal !! Professional and friendly servers helped us with the extensive menu. Price point very... More

We tried Forlini's based on trip advisor reviews and it did not dissapoint. It was a little quiet the night we were there but the staff was attentive, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend

This place has a large menu to choose from appetizers, soups, pastas, chicken, veal, specials, and desserts. The special I ordered was fresh fish with salad on the side. The dressing was so good I could have eaten another. Do yourself a favor and get the cannoli for dessert. Service was fast and they were able to accommodate our business... More

An Italian restaurant that dates from 1943 can either be mired in the past, or is smart enough not to tamper with success. Try the meatballs and make your own conclusion. They are probably the best meatballs that I have ever eaten. We are talking classic Italian fare: lots of red sauces, great veal, and a menu that never ends.... More

We had a preset menu for a group of 20, chicken parmigian, baked ziti or lasagna. Delicious, hot and fast. Service was excellent, so welcoming. Sauce is delicious, very generous portions. Will come back again.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
