It hurts my heart to say it, but after much anticipation to dine at this world renowned restaurant, I felt the food left something to be desired and I was sadly unimpressed with the out-of-date ambience. The three of us each tried different tasting menus and only a couple dishes such as the truffle pasta, really stood out. We even... More

Having read about Le Bernardin over the past couple of years and being a follower of Michelin starred restaurants, I needed to try Le Bernardin. Also I had just gotten Eric Ripert"s memoir "32 Yolks". Just before we made the dinner reservation, La Liste named Le Bernardin as #2 restaurant in the world-really? Well now I HAD to try it... I had been looking forward to our visit as I had read Eric Ripert autobiography. The meal met all my expectations. The langoustine was exceptional. The restaurant atmosphere was not glitzy. Alot of business people eating there as the prices are high, but worth it. This restaurant is among the best I have been to in the US. It rivals... More

There is no doubt that the selection of wines, the dishes, the service, the design and the atmosphere were outstanding. The preconcert dinner with Le Bernandin seven dishes'menu was perfect . Yes, the portions were small, even tiny, but the ingredients were well seen, skillfully and artistically decorated, and given the last touch of well thoughtful sources in front of... More

Came here for a late weekday lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food, wine and service were exquisite - truly some of the best I have ever had. Highly recommended!

Don't get me wrong, this is a great restaurant - there is no doubt about it. But if you think 3 Michelin star, this should be an experience to remember forever, the best the industry has to offer, a meal that transports you to new highs. For those who are lucky enough to have visited some of the best restaurants... More

We had been wanting to eat here, and our big fans of Eric Ripert! There are three different entrances for his establishments so it gets a little confusing. There is a very simple lounge and bar upon entry. We were here for lunch and since it was at 1:30pm we got great seats at the back of the room facing... More

We sat in lounge and had their 3- course city harvest menu. This included 2 choices in each category along with delicious baked in house breads. With our friends, we shared a bottle of gruner veltiner, rather than going the wine by the glass route. Definitely worth the tariff to try a meal at one of the city's finest tables. Even... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
