We have great our best meal of this trip to city. Starting bread service, nice selection, butter in perfect temperature. All seafood dishes prepared to perfection. Endless wine list. Bravo.

We had a quick dessert and wine bites at Le Bernardin. It is a very exclusive restaurant with very professional personnel. We didn't have any reservation, however the hostess was happy to offer a table in the bar area. The atmosphere is chic and very classy. At the entrance they got the garderobe and they provide a jacket for the... More

When it comes to the cuisine, nothing more needs to be said, as it deserves its high rankings. As for the ambience, this falls short compared with the other higher end NYC restaurants. The large open dining room feels claustrophobic with the somewhat packed seats. The service is too efficient and somewhat cold and impersonal. Servers are robotic and one... More

Enjoyed the chef tasting menu with over 10 courses... there's even pre-dessert, dessert and post-dessert. Staff was excellent; however, after feeling the first two courses were rushed while trying to enjoy conversation, the staff slowed the courses well. Food was about all seafood which is their specialty and diners should be aware. Food excellent and worthy of the three star... More

First off Le Bernardin is expensive, if you have the means to spend a good chunk of change well you could do much worse! I made a reservation for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to get a nice time reserved for the following night. I almost wanted to go with the chef's tasting as I have heard that's a very... More

We visited this excellent restaurant, our last night in NY. It was perhaps the best dinner of our lives. We did not choose the test menu, we ordered and shared. Fantastic. Also we had great help from the sommelier, the combination perfect! Hope to have the ability to come again

I think Le Bernadin talks a big game, but doesn't walk the talk. I have been fortunate enough to dine at many fine dining establishments and was looking forward to trying the famed Le Bernadin, but I have to say it left me a little disappointed. Service was efficient but not particularly warm. I know fine dining waiters are never... More

I was looking forward to the "number one restaurant in New York" and, of course, expected the best. I cannot say that this is not a good restaurant but definitely not worth three Michelin stars. Our party of three was greeted at the door and taken to our table, which incidentally faces the kitchen exit. There is a long hall... More

We had lunch a couple of days ago and had the prix-fixe lunch menu. The truffle pasta, with lobster, crab and scallop was the best pasta we've ever had. Amazingly delicious. The lobster was also a very fine dish and the desserts were also outstanding in presentation and taste! Also bumped into Chef Ripert who was lovely and took a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
