I've always enjoyed dining at Pietrasanta before I see a show in the Theater District but I have to report it has closed. I had a reservation for last night via OpenTable and when we arrived the restaurant's windows were papered over with newspaper and small signs indicated a different restaurant will open in the space.

Great Italian cooking just like my Nonna made. I look forward to eating dinner @ Pietrasanta again this year... It's always a great dining experience and I love that the front doors can open and we can it with a breeze coming through the restaurant.. Cannot say enough great things @ this place.

My family and I had the best Italian dinner we have ever had at Pietrasanta. The pea soup was out of this world, the octopus appetizer was tender and delicious, and the gnocchi with mushroom and cream was to die for! This place is a quaint, quiet place in Hell's Kitchen and we will definitely return!

we met an old friend for Saturday brunch before an off broadway show. Location is terrific. Had omelettes which were really good and the brunch was priced nicely. Would absolutely go back on our next visit to the area.(Hell's Kitchen)

I was part of a large group and everyone was pleased with their food. The portions are huge. They were happy to substitute Shrimp with chicken on the pasta dish I chose. Most pasta entrees are about $20. Staff friendly with good service. If you're looking for a convenient Italian Ninth Ave restaurant, this could be a good alternative. Located... More

Went to dinner after a show. I had the calamari toscana with shitake mushrooms, tomatoes, and bean, it was delicious. My aunt had the pork tenderloin with fig porto demi-glaze. She is a basic meat and potato person, so she was a little apprehensive about the demi-glaze. She loved it. I was very happy with my meal. The prices are... More

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
