Relaxed quiet spot in the back amidst the hustle of Christmas in the city. Great Cosmos cocktails and attentive but not overdone service. Could talk and laugh and just enjoy as if we were at home.

DB Bistro is one of my favorite NYC restaurants and I dine there about once a year (I do not live in NYC). The food is consistently delicious; the service is very attentive -- especially if you are going to the theatre. I admit to having either the Coq au Vin or the Duck -- both consistently delicious. And I... More

Took my mom for her birthday before a show and was very underwhelmed. Under seasoned food, loud, and SO EXPENSIVE. $350 with tip felt like a robbery after neither of my parents loved their meal. My avocado toast and steak frites were good though. dB should probably pop into the kitchen more to check in.
We are very sorry to learn your parents were disappointed with their meal. Guest feedback is valuable to us, and I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about the details. Kindly send me your email or phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will contact you directly. Respectfully, Rachel Ossakow, db Bistro Moderne More
This was such a pleasant experience for the family in every way. We dined in the back room of the restaurant that was more formal then the casual scene in the front room for people who are perhaps have time constraints. The food for all of us was outstanding, some of us had the pasta with white truffles ... how... More

We are glad you enjoyed the suggested wine parings, as well as our professional service, and hope you will join us again soon. Gratefully, Rachel Ossakow, db Bistro Moderne More
We chose this restaurant for our '16 thanksgiving dinner in NYC, but it truly failed to meet our expectations, especially given Chef Daniel Boulud's reputation. We had reservations but had to wait about 30 minutes for our table, even though parties who came in after us with later reservations were seated immediately. The meal cost over $400 for 4 people... Very nice dinner. Service a little slow. Wait staff was friendly. Food was very tasty. Hamburger special was unusual

Stopped in for a drink and a few bites before seeing David Sedaris at Town Hall. We sat in the open tables acriss from the bar. The service was truly excellent - attentive, efficient and pleasant. The drinks (a pinot gris and a champagne) were very good though pricey. My friend ordered a kale salad which was declared OK, not... More

However, it saddens us to learn of your disappointment with some of your menu selections. I have been to DB Bistro many times for dinner until walking by I realized that they were also serving breakfast and decided to try. Very good and professional service. The freshly squeezed grapefruit juice was superb. The coffee a little bit weak for me. I had the FrenchToast, great brioche, the portion could have been somehow more generous. The... More

I am a fan of Daniel Boulud but I wouldn't seek this out if my hotel wasn't next to it. However, the service was great. Food was really good. I ordered a wonderful mushroom soup. My husband ordered the rillet. We did not order the famous hamburger. Wine choices are good. A very good restaurant I just wouldn't go there... More
