I don’t know how to characterize our dining experience at this restaurant. We chose it because it was very near the theatre we were to attend. Second, the hype seemed very positive. We made a reservation far in advance. When we arrived the maître di rushed ahead to our table dropped the menu and fled before we got anywhere near... More

This restaurant is right in the heart of the theater district. The food was okay, nothing special, but good enough for a pre-theater lunch or dinner. Lunch for 4 was $100 with no drinks or appetizers or dessert. It is a large place and there is nothing to absorb the sound so be prepared for a noisy meal. We had... More

My sister has been going to Osteria al Doge for many years but this was my first visit. We had bruschetta as an appetizer and I had homemade spinach & ricotta ravioli in a butter sage sauce. I was surprised that there were so few ravioli (6) for the price -$21. And for dessert an apple tart with cinnamon ice... More

We were recommended to eat here by our hotel, and although the restaurant itself was lovely we found the food a bit lacking. We had the seafood tagliatelle pasta and a Parma ham pizza which wasn't particularly impressive, albeit good portion sizes. That being said the service was quick and our waiter was friendly. We received a small portion of... More

We were exhausted after a long day of walking so booked online for this restaurant opposite our hotel. It was Good Friday, and we thought it might be very busy, but we had booked for a time after the theatre start time, and I think that worked well. It was busy, but not packed. Service was not super friendly, but... More

Had dinner here prior to a concert at Radio City Music Hall. The atmosphere is so charming with friendly and attentive staff. The salmon ravioli was excellent, as was the lasagna. The desserts were just as good....a lemon tart and tiramisu. Although we had wine with dinner, next time I would definitely try the limoncello. If you love home cooked... More

I'd booked this restaurant weeks beforehand - which was a good thing. Be sure to do the same. Its location (right across from several major Broadway theatres) is so convenient. No need to stress about whether or not you'll get to your show on time! The food was very good (I got a generous lamb shank with lots of veggies).... More

Nice intimate atmosphere, not noisy like a lot of post-theatre meals. The service was excellent, pasta (including one gluten free) was good, a nice bottle of Soave Classico and excellent desserts of Nutella Panacotta and Cinnamon ice cream. The Maitre D (and I suspect owner) was pretty stern, but to no effect !!!

My friend from work and I come here at least once or twice per month and absolutely love every single dish we've tried. My personal favorites are the tagliatelle bolognese entree and the mozzarella prosciutto appetizer. The shrimp pasta entree is also delectable. We've also tried their pizzas and so far our favorite is the four cheese pizza. Easily shareable... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
