I pove the steaks at Abigail. I had the Brazilian steak and oit was done just perfect, the white bean soup was just spicy enough. And the best part was, that the restaurant was quiet and I could actually have a conversation with my son without shouting or excusing myself for not hearing him.

We met another couple there for dinner and good conversation and it was in a good location. Our server Elizabeth was very nice and the food is good, but expensive. The drinks were ok, but expensive. Two of us had the Short Ribs which were excellent, one had the Chicken Picatta which was good and one had the Chicken Dijon... More

We went in for a nice meal last night and that's what we got! I'd never been in before and didn't have time to check out the menu first, but our server suggested the special arctic char with wild mushrooms and a lemon white wine sauce that was unbelievable. And the truffle whipped potatoes were to die for! I could... More

Very nice ambiance, waiters were attentive but not overbearing. Duck was just delicious although not as large a portion as I would have expected. Steak San Pedro was just awesome and so were the roasted potatoes. The outside on Broadway is undergoing construction, so it may appear they are closed, but don't let that stop you.

Thanks very much for the great review of Abigael's! We're delighted that you enjoyed your visit so much. The duck portion is half a duck~ breast, leg & thigh, fully boneless, so it may appear smaller that other restaurants; but that's because we've already de-boned it. We're very excited about the new face of the building and are looking forward... More

The restaurant was undergoing some sort of renovation when we visited and the entire façade was covered with some sort of panels. All the guests were seated in a (rather nice) dining room in the basement. The food was very good in a non-ostentatious way (nothing too exotic, but everything was very tasty). The dishes were nicely arranged and the... More

I have been to Abigael's numerous of the years and I always get a very good meal with very good service. I ahve never had a bad meal. Every now and again they will have something special, but regardless the portions are large, food is spiced well, and above average. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is worth... More

We went to Abigael's as we heard good things, but we were happy to discover that the food far exceeded our expectations. The ambiance could use a facelift, but the service, attention to detail and the delicious food -- well -- we are still talking about it! B'tay-a-von:)

Wow! Thanks for your great comments about Abigael's! So good to know that we surpassed your great expectations! We redecorated the lower level about three years ago, and usually get some real nice compliments. Currently, our street facade is being renovated and we can't wait for the Big Reveal! Alison P. Ordered rib steak ( 4 different choices of rib steak on menu for 45$) each. Medium rare. Steak was chewy in side, full of fat and crispy black on outside. Not a good steak at all. F in my book. However, side orders were good and wine was great. They removed one of the side orders from bill due to... More

Never disappointed with Abigael's. Chef Nathan always does a great job, food is presented beautifully, and exceptional quality is a given. I particularly enjoy the ambiance as a destination for a quiet business lunch. Is my go-to lunch destination in the Midtown area. Had a delicious 'Brazilian' steak special for lunch today. Wow!! Kudos to our server today, Anne Marie,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
