This is a small restaurant (a couple of tables and chairs) serving excellent Israeli/ Middle Eastern food. I had the falafel plate and the cauliflower appetizer. The falafel plate was so fresh and tasty. Lots of veggies and hummus and tahini. The cauliflower was a...More

I had read several places that The Hala Guys was the place to go. Not true, Azuri is the Place to go. I had the Boreca( meat pie) and the falafel plate. Both were excellent. The falafel was excellent, 100x’s better than the Hala Guys....More

I love meat. Right there, from the start I must say that I enjoy eating meat as often as possible. However, regardless of how much I enjoy eating meat, I do have a soft spot for sushi, houmus, falafel, labneh and other vegetarian dishes. When...More

Really great food, large tasty servings and because there was not a crowd, got to know the owner Ezra. On a cold night the soups were a perfect starter. Really liked the falafel and all the fixings. Perfect for two or carryout.

Only 10 people can be seated-with 4 places very cramped. The owner is positively rude, although he warms up a little if you praise his food. The Israeli-Middle Eastern cuisine has very good salads. The three on the felafel plate, led by cous cous, are above...More

I've heard a bit about Azuri Cafe. It's pretty decent, but nowhere near the best. The famed falafel isn't anything special, especially when you opt for the pita sandwich where you only get 3 pieces. Additionally, as compared to other competitors, $8.50 is a tad...More

This is one of the best Israeli/Middle Eastern restaurants in New York City. It is a small hole in the wall that only has a couple of tables and most people take the food to go. The flavors and freshness are incredible and the salads...More

We visited Azuri Cafe as part of the Food on Foot Tour (highly recommend this tour). The Cafe is a small space but the falafel was excellent. We didn't get to sample more of the menu due to the tour. We'll come back if we're...More
