This restaurant was recommended by a friend and so glad it was. We showed up at 5:15 on a Saturday night direct from shopping with 2 adults, a teenager and a 2 year old. The restaurant took us without a reservation and probably to the dismay of some of the seated diners given our entrance complete with shopping bags and... More

It was mid-day in midtown and we needed a pit-stop after pounding the pavement for a few hours. The Cappuccino (6.95) & Espresso (6.50) was excellent and featured cute little delicious cookies. Daniel the bar guy was so nice that next time we're in town we will try for a return visit. Talk about authentic NY Italian, suddenly realizing there... More

The 2nd visit was even better than the first visit. This authentic Italian restaurant with New York culture and style will not disappoint. The menu includes all the regular and unique Italian options. What was great was that our special request was quickly and effortlessly prepared to perfection. We really enjoyed the cold starter appetizers , displayed on the trolley... More

We have liked this Resturant for a while. Started having lunch here many years ago to get away from the city. Then as we come here for many years we have switched to having dinner here. The food is exceptional , service the same . Tonight had the anti pasto plate for appetizers, then the Caesar salad ( hand made)... More

Third visit here and it's just gets better and better. An impeccable restaurant. We live 80 miles away and when we got into the city we go to Il Tinello. John the big boss runs a great operation. His crew is fantastic and you never feel rushed. The food is just amazing and as always,,, save room for the cheese... More

Stopped in for dinner after seeing Book of Mormon. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. The staff is excellent and attentive to all of your needs. The food matched the excellent service. Both my wife and I had veal dinners which were well portioned and flavorful. Our son (16) had the lamb osso bucco and he thought it was the... More

We started with insalata caprese and Bresaola and mu daughter and her friends had caesar salads prepared table side. Then my wife and I split the Taglierini il Tinello and she had the Dover Sole Fresca and me the the Red Snapper il Trentino. The girls all ordered 3 pasta dishes and shared. They loved it. Of course, we washed... More

The restaurant is classic Italian food in an elegant old school style . Around for only 26 years it carries with it a timeless fine dining atmosphere . Tables are well spaced with white linen and waiters dressed in formal attire .. Salads made to order table side and desserts made fresh in front of you set your senses alive... More

Our dinner group was in the city for day in town, and the restaurant came highly recommended as a good place for an Italian meal.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
