I was in Tao in 2013 in the evening; it was crowded with people. I never had such delicious sushi in my life. In 2018 we were there for lunch: it was very pleasant. Not so crowded. The waiter had all the time for us....More

This is not just great food but a total experience. I love sitting upstairs if at all possible. The sausage fried rice with the egg on top is to die for. Great for dates and families with older teens or adult children. I would not...More

Call in advance for reservations. Very cool decor and ambiance. Rustic look of reclaimed wood, with forged metal details. Fairly dimly lit, so pay attention when following the hostess to your table. Asian fusion. Fairly nice wine list, cocktails sounded interesting. $$$. We ordered appetizers...More

I go there every time I am in New York and feel like a local with the great service. Food, too is always consistent ....and... their Red Dragon martini is the best!

Food was really good. However we were a big party of people and every time someone stood up we had a 200kg bouncer on our backs telling us to sit down. For what they charge and the fact that they advertise this establishment as a...More

Tao is a one of kind restaurant. In the middle of the restaurant has a gigantic Buddha statue mounted on top of a pond with the bigger color fishes I ever seen. The atmosphere is so modern but yet very spiritual if you are a...More

I usually ate there before 3:00 and it was still available. Lunchtime usually runs from 11:30 to 3:00. I'm not certain if the fixed price goes beyond that.
