The famous Katz Deli makes a great place to stop for lunch after visiting the Tenement Museum on the lower east side. The line was long even in the mid-afternoon. The line did move quickly and we had our sandwich in 15 minutes. There is...More

Walked in at lunchtime and was told 15/20min wait for a table, ok but there were about 30 people waiting in front of us. After a wait of ten mins no one had been seated, we walked, found the door staff unnecessarily aggressive

Yes, but they do not offer gluten-free bread. But you could bring your own bread, and they'll be happy to make you a sandwich using your bread

Not quite sure what your question is? please explain further? If you have indeed eaten here forever as you say you will be well aware that the food is not best quality compared even to the recently parted Carnegie Deli.

The food at Katz's is authentic Jewish deli, despite it being a large, crowded environment. One goes there for pastrami not ketchup police or ambiance.
