My wife, son, and I stopped in for a snack after some touring. It was quite crowded and a little pricey, but EVERY other aspect was top notch. Outstanding beer selection. Extremely kind and knowledgeable staff that accommodated us and our 1 year old with charm. We had the best pretzel we've ever had and a very good roasted beat... More

What a lovely place! A beautiful old building nestled amongst the skyscrapers, a real contradiction. Inside is super cosy and just the job for our visit on a cold winters day following a trip to the Statue of Liberty. After just a short wait for a table we were seated, and drinks served. Hard to chose from all the choice... More

We came here over Thanksgiving weekend for a drink at the bar. I was surprised to find all of the interesting rooms and the different feel each had. It was so interesting to read about the history of this bar. A true original, with great cocktails. We were enjoying ourselves in the bar so much that we decided to eat... More

There is only one vegan option on the menu (pretzel) but the atmosphere was awesome. The apricot cider was phenomenal.

We ate here for Thanksgiving 2016 and it was quite a nice meal. The menu was limited, but quite good. Table was a little small, but the overall atmosophere made up for it. Would eat here again.

We ate here on a Sunday with the kids after visiting the Statue of Liberty. They had a nice little live musical number going on in the bar. We had reservations and did not have to wait. We were pretty squished in with other people though. The food was OK and I enjoyed the museum upstairs.

Ok, it is a mere imagining if the place where Washington and Hamilton and others convened and it is a bit hokey but there is still some charm in the arrangement of rooms and being on site. Food is unremarkable but not bad and it is a quiet place in exploring the financial district. Why do they play Volare on... More

Great energy and ambience. Found a quiet pair of chairs in the whisky saloon. Live music was audible and was a great performer! Drinks a plenty, food was good. So cool to know history's connection to this tavern. Worth a visit!

Great atmosphere. Very historical. The family loved the look, smells and the history. The perfect place to sit near a fire and drink whiskey or a beer. Worth the visit.

Cousins who live in the city took us to this delightful spot. George Washington bid farewell to his officers here. Husband and cousins had a pint and we all shared the cheeseboard. I loved the history of this place.
