We went for dinner with my family when staying on vacation. We sat down and we ordered. We saw a plate dirty then we saw a fork dirty and the worst of all the shrimp tempura with a hair inside. They were not very convinced that was a hair and was examined by every member of the restaurant. We decided... More

Excellent sushi and sashimi specialties -- enjoyed the sushi/sashimi platter for two. All of the selections were fresh and very tasty. Great variety with interesting variations. Yakitori (both asparagus and mushroom) were superb. Service was excellent. Altogether, a great meal at a reasonable price.

We ate there while in town on business. Being close to Times Square, it's very surprising that it's so reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the Sushi was very good. They had no problem changing ingredients in rolls, for example. They had a very good selection of both hot and cold Sake. They did forget a piece... More

Fuji Sushi offers and extensive Japanese menu in a simple but attractive setting. I love Sushi and have spent extensive time in Japan so I was interested in the quality and preparation of their rolls and nagiri. I was not disappointed. My personal preferences of uni, natto and kampyo are not what most people are familiar with or order but... More

Two blocks down from Central Park on a dingy strip of W 56th st a couple of family run restaurants cling on despite the relentless advance of bland corporate chains (Chipotle, MacDonalds). Fuji Sushi is one of my favorites when I get to NY. It's small and train-carriage long with a friendly efficient staff. Best of all the food is... More

We ate at Fuji Sushi the night after a pretty bad experience at Patsy's Italian just next door. Fuji Sushi has a pretty simple feel to it but the food is exceptional and great value. We had sushi and sashimi mixed platter and it was absolutely wonderful. They obviously know what they are doing and use great super fresh fish.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
