Wow!! I saw this place on a Cooking Channel show for their bone marrow with oxtail marmalade. My husband and I were in the area for something else and thought we would stop in. It was packed and there were 2 seats at the bar. It was part bar part raw bar. Both raw server and bartender were very attentive... More

Our dinner reservation was at Blue Ribbon Brasserie, on Sullivan Street at the convergence of the West Village and SoHo. Brothers Bruce and Eric Bromberg opened the eclectic restaurant in 1992, their first, and now have an empire of bars and brasseries, as well as fried chicken, sushi and bakery establishments, throughout the country. The restaurant was bustling, with as... More

This restaurant wad rdcokmnded to us by our local friends and it didnt disappoint. We started with the escargot which was prepared non-tradiotinally on a bourguignon style sauce...fantastic! We then shared the fried chicken and hanger steak. Some of the best fried chicken I've had. Amazing restaurant

A friend recommended this restaurant in Soho and we went on a Wednesday night. Had a 6:15pm reservation we confirmed online. You can't make a reservation on the phone until after 4pm when the place opens, and judging from the overflow crowd by 7pm, it could be tough to get in if you wait. The staff are amazing - every... Quaint dark intimate and a great little spot for dinner in the heart of Soho. Staff delightful, serve on point. Food simple and well executed. Plenty of seafood the prawns in various styles were all great. Good selection of bistro American style favourites with a French twist. Nice selection of wines and cocktails. The place was packed and had a... More

This quaint restaurant in SOHO is awesome and would recommend it. Service was fantastic and food amazing. We had the lobster app and Paella for dinner. Amazing. You will not be dissappointed in this place. Price was fine.

Their hours are 4 PM to 4 AM, and when we showed up at 4:30, we were the first customers. By the time we left at 6 PM, the dozen or so tables were almost all filled. Every morsel was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the cocktails were fabulous. We had two appetizers, two mains, a shared dessert, and three rounds of... More

3.5 stars. The place was too dark. The one candle on the table made it a bit hard to see the food. The place is small so reservation is essential. We went there for the bone marrows. We had it and the foie gras for appetizers. The bread they came with were soft and really complemented the flavors. The foie... More

Description
Located on Sullivan Street at the convergence of the West Village and SoHo, Blue Ribbon's bustling dining room and friendly bar have been serving neighborhood regulars and culinary industry insiders since 1992. The Bromberg Brothers' eclectic vision first sprang to life here and has blossomed into an iconic destination known for its late-night dining scene where the country's top chefs congregate and eat after closing their own kitchens. Subdued lighting, red velvet banquettes and mustard hued walls, pristine oysters and countless culinary tales are all well-known trademarks of this, the flagship and original Blue Ribbon.

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
