We were recommended to come here by the big bus tours and it really was lovely. Pizza are huge so a small was enough for too. The garlic bites are amazing! The restaurant is lovely inside an, old church I believe however it was very chilly so did have to leave my coat on for the night.

Located in the midst of the Theatre District this is a good choice for reasonably priced Italian featuring pizza. The setting is a former church with soaring ceilings

Beautiful building in what was a church previous, combination of simple table settings and fantastic decor really make Johns a unique place. But forgetting all that, you're here for pizza, and there is no better place to be if you want amazing pizza. The menu is simple, the choices are yours, but with this pizza it's all about the taste.... More

Nice location in a remodeled church but the menu is standard fare and at $100 for 6 to get pizza, spendy. The foot was not that wonderful - I would go with Ray's pizza instead for atmosphere, fun and good pizza.

Thank you for writing your review. We are very sorry that you did not find our food wonderful during your recent dining experience with us, however, for 6 people to eat dinner in a Times Square restaurant $100 is very affordable, and we are sorry you feel differently. We pride ourselves on being an affordable option for families to eat... More

Grabbed lunch here and it was decent. Not the best NY pizza I have had but pretty good, though a little on the greasy side. Like the space and the atmosphere but could do better on the pizza.

Great authentic NY pizza. It was pricey, but all part of the experience of NYC. The restaurant is in an old church, so it has a lot of nice stained glass. Worth the trip!

Excellent thin crust with whole wheat available in an old cathedral setting (don't forget to look up at the ceiling). This place was both an attraction and a great Pizza meal. We managed a large between the two of us and enjoyed every bite. A must if in manhattan, in the theater area

Having had many poor expensive meals in NYC we were so pleased that we discovered this gem. Authentic pizza and pasta in a lovely setting with great atmosphere. Pizza was one of the best I've tried. $38 dollars excluding tips for one large pizza, pint of lager and large coke. The best meal in NYC and also the cheapest

Wonderful pizza but very long line! We had to wait in line for about 40 minutes to get a table! If you've never been, it is worth a visit, but if your just going to grab some pizza, go grab a dollar slice around the corner!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Since we make all of our pizzas to order, the quality of the slice place around the corner would be very different then ours since our pizzas do not sit under heat lamps for hours at a time.
