I'm not sure you could have a bad dining experience in Little Italy but Da Nico's is outstanding. Fantastic menu, wonderful service and they have the only outdoor garden for seating. Loved it!

Went here for a friends 50th BDay celebration and was very disappointed. Mediocre food, wait staff was OK. Nothing spectacular and I have been to numerous other restaurants near by for much better food!!!!

Our 4th visit to DaNico for dinner when traveling to NYC. They are located in the middle of Little Italy and will take reservations on Open Table. Food is authentic Italian and always delicious. Portions are huge so share appetizers and hold off on the bread if you want to chow down. On our last visit, we shared homemade stuffed... More

"Putanesca with anchovies" without them, carbonara in a sea of cream (no real carbonara) and fat/oil, olive oil that's not real olive oil, tip of 6 dollars they wrote without asking about it, and free desert that seems to be done to remain there for a long time. A true bad experience to avoid.

Typically Italian. Friendly, loud with great food to boot. I love Eggplant Parmigani and this certainly did not disappoint. Good atmosphere to enjoy a good meal with friends.

While visiting New York wanted to have lunch in the Little Italy section of Manhattan. Found a gem of a restaurant at 164 Mulberry Street called Da Nico's. The atmosphere was very nice, but the food and the service were superb. We ordered the singe size pizza which, with its 8 slices was enough to share. We also ordered the... More

Started with the Sangria which was so cold and tasty on such a hot NYC day. Dinner was so good I forgot to even take pictures of much of the food. Wait staff was attentive and no one went without. I make this a must every time in NYC. back patio in the cooler days just make it so nice.... More

Excellent food, service and price. Da Nico is a gem in Little Italy. Mike M., our server was very attentive. Great wine selection and the food superb. We ordered the pizza and is to die for. Happy atmosphere. Always busy. I recommend reservations. The prices and portions, perfect. Everything tastes fresh.

My son and I stopped in for dinner and are very happy we did. He had been here years ago and remembered how good it was. He said they make the best chicken parm he's ever had. I had the Veal Piccata and thought it was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
