We had high hopes for this restaurant and while we left happy, it wasn't all that it was billed to be. The room is fantastic. Great ambience. We sat right next to the pool. Very cool design. The food was very good but not on a par with other NYC restaurants in the same price range. My wife had the... More

We had breakfast there one morning and nothing has changed. The service is impeccable and friendly, not at all cool or aloof. I ordered scrambled eggs with home fries, buttered whole wheat and coffee, warm cream and a warm cup, (I like my coffee very hot.) I don't know what they put in the eggs but they were delicious as were the... More

The unattractive entrance set the tone for a disappointing dining experience. The food was just average and an unremarkable presentation. The total bill was outrageous.

If you're in the city for business, then this is your place to have a great meal, great service, and not be bothered by over-attentive staff. I would like to point out a waiter by the name of Noel who went beyond the call to make my guests feel comfortable while I stepped away from the table. Even though it... More

Travel in from UK as it was my partners 40th want to take him somewhere grand. We totally enjoyed the food and service. The atmosphere was a little dull I sort of expected a little music in the background. Oh and I think we may have been the youngest in there, not that it mattered as we had a great... More

Yes, we were tourists (which I don't think many of them would find behind that somewhat shying door), and still we were treated like regular guests. We had a wonderful time, as well as having some funny moments with our chef. If some other people tend to argue about the food then most probably on a very high level -... More

Not sure why this restaurant is so famous and rated so high. You basically walk into a basement of an office building as you enter and trek up a flight of stairs. While the dining is somewhat unique with the pool setting (in reality my bathtub is not much smaller) and has a unique atmosphere, I've enjoyed the settings in... More

The collaboration of Philip Johnson and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe resulted in this spectacular restaurant in the Seagram Building. This year it will have existed 55 years and for some 36 years, Julian Niccolini has kept up and improved the high standards set at the inception of the restaurant. When you go, anticipate traditional dining, traditional service, high standards,... More

If you eat out at fine restaurants as much as we do, you know that The Four Seasons is one of the best. The Seasonal theme in the dinning room is always spatular. The service is some of the best and the food if not perfect, it well be done to your liking. Our evening this month (Dec.) was one... More

So sad that this landmark beautiful restaurant has withered to host only innocent out-of-towners or B&T people on their birthdays to enjoy big pimples of pink cotton candy. Overpriced list of often dead wines highlights the gluten and diary rich retro menu of brown sauced food. Even the furniture lined up in the hallway to the celebrated pool room is... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
