The food was amazing authentic southern food. The chicken wings were so big they almost looked like turkey wings. The chicken was crispy fried but not greasy. The macaroni and cheese is the best I have ever eaten by far at a restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly. The portions are big so you get your money's worth!

Was highly recommended. Went for the first time. The service was really good. And the food was amazing!!! Good fashion southern cooking. The sweet potato 2 thumps up and the collard greens. Will be going back.

We visited Amy Ruth's on the recommendation of our guide from Hush Tours. There was a significant line (it was a Sunday), but we decided to wait anyway. I think it took us about 30 minutes to get in. We were seated in an upstairs room, with murals of famous people in African American life. The menu is full of... More

Was recommended Amy Ruth's by multiple people, and they disappoint! Authentic soul-southern cuisine in Harlem...with some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had! Real close to the subway, so we didn't have to drive, and close to Central Park to walk it off. Great iconic restaurant and recommend going....we'll be back!

I was part of a very large group and the staff made us all feel right at home. They were very accommodating and extremely friendly. It is really hard to server gods food to a large group but Amy Ruth hit a home run!!!! The food was delicious. I have never had chicken that tasted so good (sorry Mom). They... More

We ate dinner at Amy Ruth's but I think it's more of a breakfast place. Our dinner was Ok, but I hear their chicken and waffles are delicious.

I was recommended by a local to come here and have the chicken and waffles - great "soul" food. I had no idea what to expect as I have never heard of this before. I was asked what kind of chicken I wanted and was surprised to be given a deep fried chicken leg/thigh on top of huge waffle and... More

The best chicken and waffles in an unassuming harlem location. Perfectly fried chicken, crunchy and juicy. Fluffy waffles and spot on gravy.

Great tasting American cuisine for a good price. I liked the portion sizes and the fact that they give you a scone (biscuit) for a starter!
