I had read about this restaurant and its reviews since my last New York visit but was only able to visit on this occasion. Old style and perhaps a touch tired, but acceptable decor, it was Tuesday and quiet at 8.3o pm with two ladies in the far corner engaged in conversation with a male staff obviously friends, and only... Second time stay in New York and keen to find decent places to eat rather than the usual big chain burger and chip joints. Biricchino is a lovely place to dine, I was really impressed with the decor. The menu isn't vast but there is enough choice. The only downside was the waiter came across a bit snooty or obnoxious... More

We stayed at a hotel very close to this restaurant, and we wanted to eat somewhere close by. Two of us ordered the pork chop and one ordered the manicotti. We also had the seven piece sausage sampler. First, those sausages were out of this world good! They were very fresh and the flavor was oh-so-delicious! The pork chop, though,... More

nice restaurant with exposed brick... good wine selection and limited menu but the pasta was so good... the waitress was very nice .... ghnocci with the pesto sauce was fantastic. It was not crowded on a Wed night so it was easy to talk to someone. The restaurant is small and if all the tables were filled it may be... More

If you want great atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic Italian cuisine, then you should head over to Biricchino. The homemade pasta tastes great--I had rigatoni. We also ate the salami/Italian meat platter which was delicious. Really a great meal. Would recommend instantly.

My wife and I took ourselves to dinner here for the last night of our NYC holiday. It was a good decision. Room is not all that large, but comfortable, dimly lit and, when we were there, warm, without being stuffy. Service was unobtrusive and professional; food arrived within a reasonable time. Drink prices (wine) were no more expensive than... More

The atmosphere was cozy, the service staff was nice and happy but not very attentive. The food was good but not great. The prices were fine. Overall not a bad experience just not a stellar one. If you don't want to break the bank on a 4-5 star restaurant but want a good meal in a warm and inviting place...... More

Some of the best Italian food I have had in NYC. I went with a friend out of pure hunger and the beastly cold weather., we were trying to get a cab and it was taking to long and he said lets eat here instead. Best decision ever!. The waitress was helpful and suggested what we should try. We ordered... More

We loved everything we selected here - the caprese with homemade mozzarella; homemade polenta with mushroom and red sauce, and the creamy risotto with mushrooms; and the desserts were all great. A small place with lovely charm, this was a great neighborhood find for us!

We found this restaurant close to our hotel and had a wonderful evening. It is a comfortable smaller size. The service was attentive with good suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed the sausage appetizer, the bread was delicious, entrees very nice ( I enjoyed the chicken marsala) and the chocolate mousse cake was devine. Would definitely return!
