Ms Maudes is a small restaurant but it works for the setting. I ordered the jerked chicken, mac n cheese with cabbage. Every single bit was delicious. I enjoyed the juice as well. It was just as sweet as my grandma's juice as a kid. I am excited to try a different meal next visit as I will most definitely... More

I love the food here but wish that more care was put into the service. If you are extremely hungry, do not go here. It will be a while before you eat. Thank you for taking time out to read my review.

Great southern style food in cosy cafe. Friendly staff. Free cornbread for starters which is quite filling and the meals are large

After being seated we waited 10 minutes & still didn't receive a menu. The food was just okay. Can't imagine how the restaurant only has approx 15 tables & 4 waitresses & the service leaves so much to be desired. We ordered two side dishes & they brought one & the other was'n't what we ordered. Lastly, when I went... More

Had a late lunch here on a Saturday afternoon @3 pm. They were still serving brunch. It looked as though others asked to see the dinner menu and ordered from it. We didn't ask about the dinner menu and it wasn't offered to us. No waiting on a table. The service was ok. We waited a 25 minutes for my... More

We decided to try a soul food restaurant and ended up at this one because of a groupon. It's a little cozy restaurant on high traffic block in Harlem, lets just say its not something I would be passing and decide to stop. Inside is very clean and the staff was friendly. The food was pretty good but a bit... More

It was definitely the worst southern food in all of Harlem if not all of the country that we have eaten. Every entree comes wit two sides and supposedly bread which never came to us. It should say two sides come with a few molecules of entree. My Grilled Shrimp came as 1/8 of the plate. Seven tiny, little shrimp... More

Having gone there 3 times in about as many weeks, the first time we were there on Saturday afternoon, no wait for a table, but had to practically run down our server to get the check. 2nd visit was Sunday afternoon - over an hour wait, finally seated (at two separate tables - there were 7 of us). One of... More

I came here for dinner one night with my boyfriend. I had been here a couple of years ago and thought it was good. I purchased a groupon and we went one Friday night. I ordered chicken with mac and cheese and potato salad. My boyfriend ordered oxtails but they were out so he ordered the same as me but... More

Hi all, we learned the heard way that Groupon deals DO NOT include BRUNCH on Sundays. It doesn't mention that in the fine print, but BEWARE.
