As a rule I almost never eat anywhere near "The Crossroads of the World", as it's usually not an appetizing experience, ....dealing with the crowds, etc. However, there are always exceptions,...and Carmines is solid. Food Is Italian and it is served family style (aka extra large portions).which is expected to be shared. It is excellently prepared, and delicious. The staff... More

Went there with my buddy who is a big guy and we couldnt even finish half. Ordered the 4 pasta special and a salad, and it was excellent. Eventhough the servings are big, the food is incredible and tasty. Awesome New Yorker italian atmosphere and friendly servers. Dispite it being located right by time square, it doesnt feel like a... We had a party with 20 people and Carmine's turned out to be a great place to have it. Lynne, the banquet manager, was very helpful and responsive in helping me plan this event. We were very happy with the quality of the food and the service. Everyone at the restaurant was flexible and helped make the event special.

Being in Times Square, we had pretty low expectations. We assumed it would be basically a tourist trap. Wow were we wrong! When we walked in the restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the beautiful Christmas decor filling the restaurant. The food was the best Italian we've ever eaten, and the Titanic dessert was insane!

Great food, good atmosphere, the seafood red pasta is just off the charts. Don't go to New York and miss Carmines . It's got class and it's also got live music on weekends.

The servings are so generous here and you will want to try it all. Your server will guide you. Listen! To their advice. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so New York. A fabulous experience. Somehow you must save room for dessert!

Six months before going to New York City I made reservations for Thanksgiving Day at Carmines. My first and only question was "Are you serving a traditional turkey dinner." Oh Yes, was the answer. Reservations were made for two people. Two months before Thanksgiving, Carmines called us to be sure we were we still coming for dinner verifying a reservation... More

I went here after hearing many people tell me we had to eat there. The place was packed and we were lucky I made reservations before we even got to New York. The one thing that people didn't tell me about this restaurant is that it is a family style restaurant so we ordered one dish for the two of... More

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
