Mangia is one of those places that delivers healthy, and top quality food including salads, sandwiches, pastas and meat. Aside from this, there is also a juice bar and wide array of beverages to choose from. Given the pricing of the meal is based on weight, I found the cost of the meal to add up quickly. If you are... Just happened to find this place when returning to our hotel a block or two away. Walked in and found the most amazing salad bar ever. There was a beautiful selection of fresh veggies, variety of different lettuce, chicken, steak, and deli meats. Among the salad bar, there are other stations offering entrees, sandwiches, and deserts. As we ate the... More

Mangia, just off 5th Ave is like a giant canteen with fab food. Steaks and/or quesadillas cooked to order. A giant and imaginative salad bar. Perfect for vegetarians. Pay at the till and eat in or take-out. Love it.

Dropped in here for brekky, wasn't sure whether this was a cake shop, a bar or a supermarket - I think it's all of these and more, but all seemed to be very busy. Service was excellent, they were very patient whilst I considered which cheese to have on my omelette (having already had to choose what type of omelette!).... More

I was very impressed with this eatery my last visit to the city and kept coming back for a great coffee and breakfast as well as salad or sandwich. Their food is fresh and consistent as well as well priced, if you are looking to get a takeout or food to go for breakfast or lunch, I would definitely come... More

We were particularly attracted to the description of Mangia in one of our guide books because of the salad bar, as we were feeling a lack of veggies. The salad bar is truly impressive, with a large variety of salads, with both vegetarian and meat-lovers protein options. The pricing by weight can lead to a pricey lunch, as the consumer... More

Thank you Koliev for the review; very much appreciated! We do consider ourselves to be affordable and competitvely priced as we believe that good and healty food is a commodity. Mangia has a self service cafe on the ground floor and upstairs there is table service. We had a very nice breakfast upstairs. I had eggs benedict and my husband had an egg white omelette. If you are staying in Mid town near Central Park skip your hotels over priced breakfast and eat here. The service was fast and our server... More

I got there by coincidence but I loved it! The place is just perfect. It's lively and people are great. I went for a breakfast and it was one of the best sandwiches in my life. Everything is fresh and good quality. I definitely recommend that place!

Fast service, Delish Omelettes and French Toast. Friendly Service. Great inexpensive if you are on the move. Coffee is vital to our morning and you can count on great Java here.

A family business opened in 1981, Mangia transformed the New York lunch scene by being one of the first to focus on fresh, artisanal ingredients and a menu of rustic and classic Italian fare. Today we continue with the same passion for food by preserving our beloved Mangia classics as well as continuing to create new seasonal recipes. Most of all, we take pride that whether you're joining us for a quick lunch or catering a large event, our food is always crafted in house and baked fresh daily.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
