We went to the Blues Club on the long weekend in February. We listened to the music of Marvin Gay and Bill Withers and it was fantastic. This is a dinner club with a $10 cover charge. The food was good -not great. The service was excellent. It was a really enjoyable evening. I highly recommend this club.

Nice atmosphere but wow the tables are ridiculously tight. They pack you in like cattle and make you sit across from your partner's so one has a great stage view and the other gets a stiff neck. Staff is very unfriendly...... no thanks

I had a good time at the Beatles Brunch show on Saturday. The BB King Club is located on 42 street near other attractions like Madame Tussauds etc. The brunch itself was not that great. It had standard items, like Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken wings, baked chicken, rice, cobbler. My main reason was to hear the Beatles tribute band playing.... More

While I was in NYC I had to sample a gospel choir, and I was not disappointed . The venue reminded me of a 50s blue club that you would see in films and I loved that. They do expect you to send $10 each on your table (drinks or food etc) which I thought was fair . The table... More

Have been here a few time for the live music. Great atmosphere, great music. Didn't have food but the cocktails were ok. Nothing special. Definitely should go if you like to hang and listen to live music

Fantastic brunch, staff were super nice, live band playing gospel/blues - softly, wonderful, cannot recommend highly enough, just wish we had found this at the beginning of our holiday - not the end!

I stopped by for a Manhattan during cocktail hour Dec 28 and found a peaceful scene at Lucille's bar before the nights festivities started. The bartender (Grover?) was welcoming and friendly and made me one of the best Manhattans I have had in a while. It was not cheap, but it was very well made. Very glad I stopped by.

We saw the Harlem Gospel Choir at BB King's. It was a great show and good venue but the food and service was not very good. We would have spent a lot more money here if we could get someone to serve us. When we finally ate the food was average and we asked three times for a knife and... More

We went to BB's for a show by the BB King All Stars (and guests). The food was good and fresh, but felt the drinks were a little steep (could just be NYC pricing). Place was really well laid out and felt comfortable. The band were phenomenal - had great interaction with the crowd as well as being supreme players... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
