We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. While seated we ended up speaking with the Manager, Peter, who was incredibly friendly and informative. Peter talked to us about the history of the restaurant, the "secret" to their sauce and showed us one of the...More

The Pizza was good! A little pricey though. $18 for a pizza plus $4 per topping. Our waiter wasnt super friendly either, but we ate the whole pizza in about 5 min. Obviously it was good!

Such a tiny, quaint place. We didn't wait at all at 6:30pm on a Monday. Delicious cheese pizza. Wine was so so. Thanks!

This was recommended by a local who saw we were a bit lost and told us about a famous pizza place on Bleeker Street. I'm fairly sure the only thing that's changed on the inside is the addition of celebrity customer photos. Including Vanilla Ice......More

Lots of upstart places say they have the best pizza in nyc. Ultimately you end up comparing them to John’s. Year in and year out john’s is tops. Amazing consistency over many years.

My new favorite NYC pizza place. We tried John’s based on many a New Yorkers recommendations and it delivered (figuratively). The place is small and definitely old school with the carved up wooden booths. The service was friendly and efficient. But, oh the pizza! It...More

I have been visiting this pizza restaurant for many decades. Now I travel 8000 miles for one of their many pies. I always try and bring someone who has never tasted John’s pizza on Bleecker. Would be part of my last meal for sure.

The best coal crusted pizza in Manhattan. Built in an old church it is large enough to seat plenty of people. The lasagne is to die for as well. It is within a couple blocks of time square.

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

John's of Bleecker Street is a historic pizzeria founded in 1929 by Italian immigrant John Sasso. It serves quintessentially New York coal-fired pizza, famous for its perfect brick-oven baked crust and zesty tomato sauce. John's is still family owned and operated, and boasts such celebrities as Conan O'Brien, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Danny DeVito. In 2016, it was voted #2 in America in the nationwide poll conducted by MSN.
