Their soup really does cure all- After a long week I crave a fat sandwich and a delightful soup. It just. Does it for my soul.

Staying around the corner at the Hilton and was looking for a good Jewish deli nearby. Ben’s hit the spot. Corned beef and pastrami piled high on toasted rye. Grandma’s chicken soup that was excellent. Quick and cordial service with really good food. I highly...recommend this place.More

This place serves food that is kosher. The servings are good and the taste is good the decor is still in the 1950 and the waiters are ok

Ben's is one of our 'go to' places to eat when visiting New York. It is nearly always busy and the atmosphere is great, having said that it's not that busy/loud you can't have a conversation. The food delicious and the menu varied - if...you want something relatively light, I would recommend a soup and a half sandwich or, one of the salads. Our server was Sultana and she was really helpful and friendly unlike the young female who showed us to our table who was very sullen. Ben's is a great place for good food whether you want to sit in or take away.More

It’s all you wanted and more. Endless coleslaw, pickles and your choice of meat on bread. And the mustard. Oh the mustard. Cheap, cheerful and brilliantly located. People watching gets 5 stars.

Went there twice on last visit to NYC. First time, the pastrami was hot and thouroughly enjoyed it. Second time, it was room temperature and couldn't find our waiter to get it heated up quickly and didn't have time to wait. Much better hot. My...wife asked for her soup first and it came with the rest of her meal. Looking for a replacement for Carnegie, but this isn't it.More

Traditional Kosher fare from matzo ball soup, sandwiches, knishes, etc. They also provide unlimited Kosher pickles and coleslaw at no charge. Not inexpensive, however, by NYC standards not bad.

Long established as a solid kosher restaurant chain in NYC. It’s got a solid corned beef sandwich, and knishes. It’s expensive but all kosher is. Good side dishes and an easy lunch spot. Staff always is “meh” but too be expected.

Decent food. Authentic. Great chicken soup. Service was also great and friendly. Single diners are not allowed to sit in booths.

I'd been looking forward to returning to Ben's and the hot brisket sandwich lived up to my memory of it 4 years ago. BUT, the service was terrible, my guest and I actually felt reprimanded by the waiter who then awkwardly refused to leave our...table until we had tipped him after our meal. Shame, I'll never visit this place again because of how bad the service was.More

Ben's is a fully kosher, non Glatt restaurant supervised by Rabbi Paul Plotkin, founding chairman of the kashruth sub-committee of the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Rabbinical Assembly of America.
