When visiting NYC it would be rude not to indulge at least once in a Pastrami Sandwich (with pickles and coleslaw) for lunch from an authentic New York Deli. Well that is exactly what I was doing when I visited Ben's Kosher Deli on 38th...More

I walked past this place several times on my way to and from teaching and stopped in on a snowy evening. The slogan on the front of the building really says it all, "We cure our own corned beef, our chicken soup cures the rest."...More

I go to Ben's whenever I can for the chopped liver, the ambiance (strange but wonderful) and the service. The wait staff is old school, knowledgeable, fun, and fast. The food is really Kosher, no Ruebens here. But the corned beef sandwich is huge. In...More

Ate here with a client a few weeks back. I was the first to arrive so I walked in front of deli counter and saw pre-packaged packs of deli meats. Although this didn't alarm me at the moment thinking it was perhaps for a to-go...More

I had a craving for NY Deli food. Ben's fit the bill. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, immediately bringing cole slaw and pickles to the table. The sour pickles tasted just like the ones my grandfather made when I was a kid. I...More

Best pastrami sandwich ever, the restaurant takes you back to the 50s, the service is top notch, not a tourist trap like other famous delicatessen.

The room is large, there are unlimited portions of pickles and nice, healthy cole slaw, but the service was very inefficient and we had to remind two waiters to bring our salad, even though our friends received theirs ten minutes before. We also asked for...More

To some, delicatessen is something you put between two slices of bread. To me, it's a calling. I am committed to preserving the traditional cuisine of my Eastern European heritage, amidst all that's required to operate a modern restaurant. This is our pledge, from the Ben's family to you: Fresh food, freshly prepared and courteously served in a clean, well-maintained restaurant faithfully observing the Kosher dietary laws. I urge you to bring anything less to my personal attention by calling 1-888-344-BENS or filling out my "Ask Ronnie" form and submitting it with your questions or comments. Your complete satisfaction is our goal. Any concerns will receive my prompt attention. - Ronnie Dragoon - Owner.
