I went to Ben's with a good bit of enthusiasm and left with disappointment. The waiter was extremely slow to take my order, then brought the food and set it on the table without a word. Walked by my table many times while my glass was empty but never stopped or asked if I would like a refill. Extra lean... More

This chain's deli food is reasonable and consistent. A good taste of New York City. Worth a visit or two. Large menu with variety of choices.

This is above average for a New York kosher deli. Sandwiches are not ridiculously overstuffed like some others. In addition, they have a bar.

We needed to be in and out in time to attend a play - they did not fail! We were impressed with the menu. In our party of 8, our choices ranged from pastrami, corned beef, and turkey wraps. There was even an order for stuffed derma - I was told it was exceptional!! I did not hear a complaint... More

The food is amazing, and the staff is friendly and fun. The matzo ball in the matzo ball soup was huge! The sandwiches, knishes, and everything is great! Definitely a must eat!

Ben's is always great. The service is fast, the portions are large, the atmosphere is energetic and the food is delicious. The gefilte fish platter is my favourite. They also do an amazing matzo ball soup and smoked meat sandwich. They have the best pickles in the city! You will not leave hungry!

In a uniquely decorated restaurant, this is a place for decent kosher food. For a sandwich with two types of meat, it was almost $20.00! To be honest, the pastrami and brisket was delicious, but the portions did not support its price tag. Each table was served a small plate of two types of pickles and a small platter of... More

We were in NYC for a show on Saturday and after looking for a good Kosher Deli came across Ben's on the internet. It was the BEST! We each got the Matzo Ball Soup which I could have sworn my grandmother made it in her kitchen when I was a little girl. I had a half of Corned Beef (... More

Description
To some, delicatessen is something you put between two slices of bread. To me, it's a calling. I am committed to preserving the traditional cuisine of my Eastern European heritage, amidst all that's required to operate a modern restaurant. This is our pledge, from the Ben's family to you: Fresh food, freshly prepared and courteously served in a clean, well-maintained restaurant faithfully observing the Kosher dietary laws. I urge you to bring anything less to my personal attention by calling 1-888-344-BENS or filling out my "Ask Ronnie" form and submitting it with your questions or comments. Your complete satisfaction is our goal. Any concerns will receive my prompt attention. - Ronnie Dragoon - Owner.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
