If you have not tried these soup dumplings before, you must try them. You take a small bite and there is soup inside that you sip and then eat the pork filled dumpling. The broth has so much flavor, it makes you want more.

We didn't try their shao lung bao so we can't comment on them. The food here is not specifically Shanghainese. They have Cantonese and Beijing food as well. We ordered Orange chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce and Singapore noodles. The flavours were quite good; however,...More

Loved the Pell St. location when I went there last year, but this was more convenient for us--2 floors, many 2 and 4 tops too. We started with the crab-pork dumplings, steamed & served in the bamboo-- which were as before, sublime! My friends raved...More

I have memories of the pork and crab dumpling being one of the best things I had ever eaten. So I must say I was a bit disappointed when I returned last week. I´d say the food (two types of dumplings included) was just mediocre....More

If you are midtown or just don't want to head down to Chinatown this restaurant has some of the best Shanghainese cuisine outside of Shanghai.

The wait was relatively long (a little over 30 minutes) but their specialty (soup dumplings) did not disappoint!! I also enjoyed their Young Chow fried rice, but their other items on the menu were okay-- I would rather get them at other places. But this...More

NYC has so many good places to eat so narrowing it down to a selection is tricky. Having scoured the net we decided on Joes and boy what a meal. We had fried pork dumplings, Orange Chicken and Stir Fried Shredded Beef. Probably best meal...More

Here are some of the best soup dumplings in town. Juicy, tender, filled with scalding rich broth and minced pork. A little sauce on the side (soy-ginger-vinegar) to bring out the flavors. Delicious! This location in midtown is convenient and every time we're in NYC...More
