Returned having been a few times before, love the wholewheat waffles but was disappointed on this visit, they weren't as good as before, I've made better myself and considering it wasn't that busy staff were not very attentive and hard to get their attention when you needed something

Located right across street from Grand Central Station, on 42nd. Lovely decor. Excellent service. Food was delicious. We had lobster roll, hamburgers, and Chicken Pot Pies. Prices were typical for NYC. Nice relaxing place to eat and we were not rushed. We will be returning.

On my previous visit to NYC a few years ago I passed Pershing Square as part of a Superhero Tour, where a scene from “The Avengers” [Avengers Assemble] was filmed – I never thought I would actually eat there! Although reviews appear to talk about the breakfast we went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! On first look, Pershing... More

I was in town on vacation, and my friend from CT, decided to meet me here for breakfast. Upon entering, we were told that we could find a place to sit and eat. We picked a booth and asked for water. Then the hostess appeared and said that the 'booths' were for reservation customers only and escorted us to some... More

Had breakfast here with my daughter (22). She is staying in NY and i was visiting NY for business. Good experience. Good quality food and great service. Typical NY breakfast place. Majority people meeting for business power breakfast. Good cappucino's too! And just opposite Grand Central!

Visited for breakfast on St Patrick's Day. 15 mins to be seated but it does say it's the Best and Busiest so understandable! We opted for the New York which was fabulous. Fast service, coffee top ups, water with ice and great food. The atmosphere is loud and busy, more so on the day due to any people loading up... More

By far the best place we tried for breakfast. The New Yorker was my choice and came with juice two eggs bacon and home fries that were like , what we would call sauté potatoes. This also came with toast and a plate with butter, ketchup and jelly (jam to us Brits)

We went on st. Patricks day to get some dinner. To our surprise there was live music and we really enjoyed it! The food was delicious, just the waitress seemed a little unprofessional and rushed us out. I love to enjoy eating and take my time. It's a nice restaurant for friends or couples to have some good quality food!

We've eaten in many diners / restaurants in NYC and always meant to visit Pershing Square for breakfast and / or dinner. When you walk in you are greeted by the sign the "busiest and best breakfast in New York". We arrived about 8am, there were about 10 tables free. The choice on the menu was good, the staff were... After theatre dinner. Service was a bit slow even though they were not busy. Food was good. Surprisingly large room. Bar in front, tables in back.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
