We stopped by the 5th floor cafe after completing a very enjoyable visit to the 5th floor. The cafe is a light, airy space, with an entire wall being replaced by a huge window. The view is not great, but the light is. Modern furnishings, high ceiling and open kitchen and efficient and friendly staff conspire for a relaxing stop.... More

Go here to have a cup of coffee or water or a drink but only if you are thirsty. The atmopshere is so-so, service very rushed....food the worse on this planet and prices...not cheap. Better choice if you wish to eat go to the Cafe on 2nd but it is dark and more like a cafeteria!!!!

We were tired after walking around the museum and stopped for a bite to eat. We had fantastic mozzarella , ricotta & basil panini with a great tomato, croutons, squash and corn salad with large glasses of excellent ice cold coffee. The prices were decent and the food superb

The two of us were there for lunch. Wanted something quick. Had four slices of a small bread and three wedges of cheese. Came to about $18 each. Don't know about any other dishes.

Nice change from the usual attraction restaurants with burgers, fries etc. Panini sandwich was good, a bit expensive. Salumi selection board was the other meal ordered by spouse, nothing left so must have been good. Others nearby asked their waiter what we had ordered as the presentation was unique.

This restaurant is great, the style, the ambient, the food everything is really good, this place is a fusion between a cafe and a high end restaurant, in my impression the comunal tables and the lights and you can see the kitchen and the guy cutting the prosciutto, i try the salmon and the panini and was delicious, they have... Neighbors at the communal long table informed us that MoMA's Cafe 2 is the brainchild of celebrated NYC restauranteur Danny Meyers -- no wonder our lunch surpassed expectations. While each panini we ordered was completed AbFab, we all were totally blown away by the deep-dish chocolate chip "cookies" that came with the kids' meals! Still searching for the recipe...

If you are at the MOMA, you do not have to leave to get a bite, BUT remember where you are, this is not a five star restaurant.. The selection is good as well as the food and service. I see other reviews complaining for one reason or another, so as I said, it is good and tasty and fun... More

My three sisters and I were very pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh everything was at Café 2. For lunch we had the salmon entrée, the kale and chickpea salad, the shrimp with polenta, and the summer squash and lentil soup. I had the salmon - it was excellent. The staff were warm and friendly and the service was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
