The food was delicious and the menu a little different from the normal Indian fare. The leg of lamb was delicious - tender, shredded and flavorful. The spinach stuffed mushrooms were also super yummy. Not only was the food good, the service was excellent and...More

I write this fully giving glowing reviews to our initial time here over a year ago. Tonight we had our eyes on a Bengalese restaurant in midtown Manhattan but it would require a long walk in the humidity or other transit at a standstill. At...More

The vegetarian dishes were very delicious. The staff was warm. We tried the buffet which did not have many options but whatever little options were available were tasty.

The vent fan is so loud that the neighbors get no peace. It's behind the restaurant. You can't see or hear it but we can. Please take your business elsewhere. This is not the kind of business our neighborhood wants or needs.

A warm and welcoming decor, with some unique and special items on a diverse menu. You can find great, traditional indian cuisine with a nice mix of less traditional indian flavors as well. The cardamon chai late is a must! Be advised, however, that you...More

Awadh, once a princely state in the land of the Taj Mahal, is among the most ancient of Hindu regions. The enchanting history of this land of the Nawabs, kings known for their refined and extravagant lifestyles, is recognized through the richness of its cuisine. Here at Awadh, we bring you these bold flavors that balance elements of spice, intensity and acidity. Awadh is Gaurav Anand's latest endeavor, following Bhatti Indian Grill in Murray Hill and Moti Mahal Delux on the Upper East Side. With Awadh, we present a culmination of culinary finesse of the finest food from India's sacred and historic land. We hope to create experiences and memories through flavors as you explore meats, vegetables, seafood, kebabs, curries and breads that will leave a lasting impression on your palate.
