Fabulous location for views across Manhattan, don't waste your money on the observatory just reserve a table here and enjoy the food and drink whilst taking in the views.
Was blown away by this bar. Not only was the view incredible, but the food and cocktails were fantastic also! We had a glass of bubbles (as it was our first night in NY), cheese board and couple of cocktails. Perfect start to our trip!...Staff were very tentative and helpful. It has a balcony around the bar so you can go outside and take photos. Inside you can get a glare on your camera so have to put it right up to the window. It is a little pricey but then NY is in general. Treat yourself and book a table here!More
I took my wife to NYC for an extended weekend. We wanted to see the city from a rooftop bar and Bar 65 is a great alternative Going to the Empire State building was more expensive and had a looong wait. Bar 65 could get...us in and we had a few drinks and enjoyed the view. This place is great.More
This place is excellent in all ways. The cocktails are amazing, the food is great, the service and atmosphere is fantastic plus an amazing view of the city. Definitely one of my favorite bars in NYC. My recommendation would be to book a table in...advance.More
Attempted to go to the bar on a rainy (and very slow) afternoon and were turned away by the hostesses because of dress code. While we were easily able to find libations elsewhere, it’s worth mentioning that the hostesses told us we could “go and...change clothing and come back” (tennis shoes on a rainy day) and “return before midnight”. As a tourist friendly stop, it may be a good idea to make patrons aware of this restriction for entry prior to their arrival.More
From the red carpet we walked along when we entered the building onwards... the whole evening was just perfect! We celebrated Our Daughters 21st birthday at Table 21 with a stunning view of The Empire State Building. Our waiter was not too intrusive, gave us...plenty of time to settle in and choose our meals, and the little touches such as pouring our wine made us feel so special. The steak was 1st Class. Some might think the menu is a tad dear, but remember - you're not paying the $30-40 entrance fee to The Rock if you dine up there, so it's a win.win really! Would 100% recommend Bar65. THANK YOUMore
Instead of paying $45 for the view from the top of the rock, if you are all over 21 book a table and enjoy a drink with the view for free. Outside terrace is closed till April which is a pity
We visited with the intention of having dinner and drinks! We were not seated at a window table which I understand are on high demand but they became vacant and were not offered the opportunity to move and other tables were. My partner really enjoyed...his cocktail but mine wasn’t great the food was just mediocre! The staff were pleasant enough and the views were spectacular would recommend for drinks and view only!More
Last night four of us ate at Bar65 - aptly named as it is situated on the 65th floor of the Rockerfeller Centre. We booked online several weeks ago - this is essential. We were welcomed at the reception desk on the ground floor and...shown to our express lift. Upon arrival on the 65th floor we were shown to our table which had stunning views across the Hudson River and Manhattan Island. The service was first rate - very attentive but not too much so. We had a bottle of Merlot, burgers (x2), Arctic Char and lobster salad. The price was pretty amazing given the venues location and came to less than $200 for four people (the wine was $60). This was less than we paid the evening before for much poorer food in a 7th Avenue diner. Would definitely put this on the must do places to visit in NewYork for both the amazing view and fantastic food.More
My husband and I visited bar SixtyFive for drinks on a Sunday night in February. The view from the bar is cool and I expect even better in the summer. My husband and I are in our 20s and were visiting New York from the...UK to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and were keen to go to a few sky bars in the city. We sat down at our table and ordered a bottle of champagne to which the waiter asked us twice if we were sure we wanted the whole bottle, him asking this twice made me feel like he assumed we could not afford it ... which we obviously could but at the same time should not be any of his concern. I requested some fruit to accompany my champagne and this was bought to us. I put some strawberries into my glass and when the waiter came to refill my glass he didn’t account for the fruit and proceeded to flood my glass spilling champagne on the table. Accidents happen and I was not annoyed at all by this happening, I was annoyed however by the waiter blaming his accident on me putting the fruit in the glass and then not offering any compensation for the fact that he spilled a fair amount of champagne on the table which consequently ended up on my lap. The restaurant was quiet on the evening we visited and there was a table for four with a better view of the Empire State. We requested to move and the waiter said no as the table was for four people only. We accepted this response until less than 10 minutes later a couple of 2 were seated at this table. When we asked the waiter about this we were told they had a better reservation than us and then he proceeded to walk away. After this we were forgotten about, we ended up having to ask another waiter to refill our glasses (as the champagne bottle was not kept on the table but instead kept somewhere else by the waiter). The whole evening was ruined by the extremely rude and judgemental waiter. We feel the assumption was made that we could not afford to be there and this was reflected in the service. I would recommend that the bars staff get some lessons on customer services and also get taught not to judge a book by its cover.More
Really nice place to drink and enjoy views over Manhattan. Because the bar is situated at the Rockefeler Centre, you can enjoy views both of the Central Park and Lower Manhattan (in distance). I recommend coming in the later afternoon (to enjoy the sunset over...Hudson Yards) or in the evening (to enjoy the lights of New York). Reservation of a table needed (long time in advance).More
The views are amazing! We had an awesome table with a view of the Empire State Room. The area for the bar is just behind tables and it’s like they are cattle and can’t get out. It’s annoyibg that people in that area are dressed...in jeans and tshirts. While we are dressed fancy for a special night. Drink menu is huge and drinks are potent. You can just order appetizers. Or a meal. The Lobster Cobb was delicious and the NY strip was as well. Service on the other hand sucked plain and simple. Our waiter never came to the table after taking order or placing food down. And was trying to rush. I am in the industry and have never not tipped but this waiter was so rude that I actually did not tip him. Worth the experience.More
The bar definitely has very good views. The accommodation process was ok, they changed a table on the first request (I wanted a view on another side of the building). Staff generally ok, except one hostess asked me to "clear the area" when I was...near the window watching a view a few steps away from the window. Food and drinks are good. The general ambiance is a little bit... I will not say poor, it's cold.More
If you want to spend 20$ to drink a cocktail (stood up, no seat) dressed to the nines to surrounded by sloppy looking people in t-shirts and hideous casual wear then THIS IS THE THE PLACE FOR YOU. It's a complete waste of money, time...and dressing up. Ok it's a nice view but ruined by the experience of lack of 'dress code'. Go elsewhere if you want a truly special experience. Also, there were no bar snacks! They just want the money and get you GONE. BYE 👋More
