It's a fun experience to go through the del and then kitchen, but the restaurant was also really cool. We had drinks (nice sangria) and a lot of different things to eat. The melted cheese with pumpkin seeds was awesome, as was the fish tacos. The flan for dessert made an excellent finish. The staff was very attentive and gave... More

This place is hip, there is attitude at the door but it is worth it. The tacos are all outstanding and well prepared. The cocktails and tequilla selection is outstanding and this is a fun place to dine. Everyone enjoyed this cool place with a hip vibe but unlike some hip restaurants the food lives up to a high standard.... More

I cannot believe the people at the door are living up to New York's rude attitude. If you want to be treated like a street dog come here and suffer. A friend of us was waiting for us at the bar and they told us we couldn't just walk in to meet her. My wife is pregnant and they didn't... More

We went with a small group for dinner and really liked it. The entrance is deceiving as it looks like you are in the middle of a gas station. Once you are in, go downstairs and through the kitchen a new, modern, fancy and a bit loud world would be in front of you. Food and drinks were very good... More

Very trendy and cool - hidden underneath an unsuspecting corner deli. Margarita was bang on and the tacos were delicious. There are two per serve but be warned they are small. We needed four serves (so four tacos each) for dinner, which does add up. Service was just ok. To eat in the brassiere area you need to book about... More

Well made food. I had the poblano pepper and it was excellent. The chips tasted homemade and the guacamole was delicious! The service was a bit off, but we realized this tends to be the norm during the busy lunch hour.

Great restaurants and vibes. Food is a perfect mix of Mexico and American taste and service is fun, full of beautiful people and vibrant. It's a big family and many opportunities are given to emerging artists at the cafe. Cool place, a must stop in NYC

For those into Mexican food this place is a delight. If you are big on Maragritas this is also the place to be. I was surprised to be taken through the busy kitchen on entry do the below ground packed out bar. Tables very crowded. Service fast and furious. Food fabulous and cheap. Margaritas the best ever but expensive. We... More

From the outside it looks like a dumpy diner, you go inside , your booking is verified and ushered down the stairs , through the kitchen and into the bunker that is La esquina ... sexy vibe , great lighting , amazing Margheritas and sublime food . Well priced and truly an amazing New York experience

This one took me by surprise. From street level just a door and a kitchen but you go down and thru the kitchen and end up in an amazon underground restaurant and bar with great music (some Latin) and a great vibe overall. Gets crowded but it's very cool. A must

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
