Don't get me wrong - the food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and luxurious and the service leaves nothing to wish for. However, at this price level, I have come to expect more. In this city the competition is fierce. This place just doesn't live up to its prices.

After an awesome walk on the High Line, my wife, my brother and his wife and I stopped for an early dinner in their beautiful dining area. Needless to say we made the right choice. After reading some of the negative reviews about the service, I need to start with our experience which was excellent. Our server Thomas was right... More

Had a great dinner here on a saturday night! It was fun to watch it turn more into a club the later it got. Dinner was great - a little pricey but delicious! The crostinis are a great appetizer and fun to try a variety of them. We also LOVED the beef carpaccio - best we have ever had! The... More

This is my 2nd time to this restaurant. Both were business dinners with 8+ people. The food was amazing both times. The service was also very good both times. I love the vibe of the restaurant too. Can't say enough great things about the food. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in NYC.

Enjoyed everything at Fig and Olive. The service, ambience, and food quality are top notch. You can actually hear the table conversation unlike many NYC restaurants. Recommend crostini apps; entrees: walnut and gorgonzola linguini, and the paella. Bronzino very tasty but SMALL portion. Be careful at the bar - 2 gin and tonics and a gimlet = $48 plus tip.... Came across this place in the meat packing district on our last evening in New York! Lovely setting, attentive staff, amazing food and a very extensive cocktail menu! Definitely worth a visit if you're in that area!

Went for a birthday dinner as a group of 7. The food and service was good, lamb chops on the menu were absolutely amazing - would recommend! And the chocolate pot for dessert was even more amazing! A great meal, great food and good service. However at the end of the meal the management came to question the gratuity as... More

Visited restaurant for dinner and every course was wonderful. We tried various of their Crostinis, the Prosciutto, the Gorgonzola and the Manchego, all great. The Squash soup, the Lamb chops and the Penne with wild mushroom and truffle oil were superb. Dinner was on a Friday night, service was good, but could have been better, but the outstanding food made... More

Fig & Olive has a good vibe and great service. Food was good but We found the menu rather short (only 3 options for pasta). Overall it was rather expensive for what we had: 2 pasta bowls; starter; no wine; no dessert for usd100

Thank Alejandro D

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
