The decor is very open since you are on a corner and the windows are huge. The service was great. They brought us drinks and kept them flowing. The food was trendy but very wholesome. Had the flounder which generally is a boring dish but not here. It was extremely tasty. As for dessert the cobbler was nice but the... More

Good wholesome food, big portions and good value for money. Nice surroundings but very quiet when we were there so not much atmosphere - can't say if that is typical or not

Different and delicious menu featuring small plates at surprisingly attractive prices. The clientele seem to be young, exciting adults making their successful way in the Big Apple; not touristy. Try the flatbread lamb or the steak tacos.

Standard field-to-table set up. Looked good on paper, but sadly the experience was not stellar at the price point. Two meals with two starters and mains came in at $200+. Which for NYC is fine, but the food was distinctly average and in a very cramped and noisy space. The tables are cheek by jowl and thus it makes having... More

My family came here on Christmas Eve 2016. Drinks and appetizers were great. We were also one of two tables in the restaurant, so they were not at all busy. Problem? Two members in my party ordered a plate which included slices of beef. They both ordered this medium rare. Yes, countries have slight variations on what qualifies as "rare".... More

We ate here recently upon the recommendation of friends. The meal was excellent, though not cheap. We started with the squash salad and cauliflower and brussel sprout side dishes, both quite good. The mains were tilefish and codfish. The latter came on mashed potatoes, while the former came with vegetables, more to our liking. The tilefish was delicious, with crispy... More

We had a lunch reservation and were greeted with a big welcome. Sadly our waitress had a miserable demeanor and was disinterested. No offer to explain the menu. We are on holiday and would normally have had a bottle of wine with lunch, but the prices were eye popping. We had a delicious and much less expensive bottle at a... More

We were late for our table, which once we arrived, was absolutely no problem at all. Our waiter was more than helpful with suggestions/recommendations on the menu. Food was delicious, great selection of wine. We went for the final night of our holiday, was the perfect restaurant for such a special occasion. Will definitely return when we go back to... More

Our party of five had a fantastic meal at Market Table - rave reviews from each of us (plus the table of four next to us!). Our server, Masha was wonderful and knowledgeable as she helped in explanations to help us decide with wine choice and entree options. We shared a few appetizers including the calamari and a kale salad.... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
